One of the best Inverts in the world. At least i haven't rid a better one yet but they say the one in Florida is really good to. Very nice park overall to. Its a bit of banshee on steroids.
A well-known face from Efteling has died at the age of 61. Actor Hans Eichhorn has played various roles in the amusement park in recent years, including that of Fakir and Otto Charlatan in the Charlatans act. This year he appeared as a footman in the promotional video for the new fairy tale The Princess on the PeaA spokesperson for Efteling said that Eichhorn was loved by many colleagues. This one is a very nice one probable the best Goliath ive done i think i ve done 4 so far. Its middle ranking RMC Ibox.Didn't know much of this parj when i went there this year was a very pleasnt suprise.
Goliath initially set three world records among wooden coasters, having the longest drop at 180 feet (55 m), the steepest angle of 85 degrees, and the fastest speed of 72 mph (116 km/h). It still holds the record for the longest drop and fastest wooden roller coaster. obviously now we have so many others and that info was from wiki so it might not be accurate anymore
It was over so quickly that I rewatched it to get the full effect. The lift hill was like climbing straight up a fireman’s ladder. Going into the tunnel showed the speed of momentum. There were plenty of stomach turning curves. Good find for a reaction video.
looks like a great roller coaster! Reminds me of a roller coaster in Walibi Holland, Untamed, which is also a hybrid. And coincidentally, in Walibi Holland they also have a roller coaster called Goliath haha.
In the spring of 2025, a new Princess will move into the Fairytale Forest of Efteling: The Princess on the Pea. A famous fairy tale by Hans Christian Andersen. A new, royal house will be placed on the edge of the forest, between the Troll King and Mother Holle's well, 22:07 and will be part of the new Efteling Grand hotel. The Princess and the Pea will be the 31st fairy tale in the Fairytale Forest.
A thatched roof is very normal in the Netherlands 17:52 and often seen in monumental buildings and houses, but it is still done in new construction because it is a form of prosperity. Having such a roof installed is very expensive.
When the Lavenlaar opened in 1990, it housed a real bar called the Lurk en Limoenhuys, 7:34 which could be visited by visitors. Due to its relatively remote, unpopular location, this bar never became a great success and from 2003 the house was completely closed. Since 2024, a scene has been added in the house where you can now watch Laaf Luur, who now serves fruit juice behind the bar of the Lurk en Limoenhuys.
Superman Ride of Steel(original name) was my first Hyper, it was great when it opened, and until today I compare every coaster I ride to it, the ride unfortunately is not the same when they changed the restraints due to a fatal accident, I am glad I rode the original one, together with the Batman side of Batman and Robin the Chiller both were my favorite rides in the early 2000s.
Dreamflight (Droomvlucht) has had a major renovation, making it look like a new attraction again. lighting has been renewed, animatronics have been refurbished and have had a makeover and effects have been added such as a sunrise and sunset. The Efteling has placed a very nice onride video and a behind-the-scenes video of this on their RU-vid channel with many close-ups and the small details are beautifully captured.
The large outdoor swimming pool of the Efteling used to be located here, 2:29 but it was later demolished and Baron1898 and the Flying Dutchman have now been built there. What is nice is that during the construction of the Baron they found parts of the swimming pool pump, which they have now used as decoration in Baron1898.
That was a LONG ride. The view from the top of the first drop was panoramic. Then you crashed down to Earth. I enjoyed watching the curves & twists but I would never ever be riding in a car. They chose a great red to simulate Spider-Man’s suit.
The Efteling posted a walk-through video of the haunted castle (Spookslot) 2 years ago. They have beautifully depicted all the small and large details around and in the haunted castle and the story is beautifully told. The main show is also clearly depicted with many close-ups. you can experience the haunted castle as you have never seen it before and it is a nice preview for Danse Macabre because many elements return in Danse Macabre.
There is a sneak preview for premium subscribers on October 26 and 27. You can also participate in a competition to visit the attraction on Monday October 28. It is going to be really great. The Efteling is super good at creating a total experience.
9:37 Finally the whale was repaired last week. Part of the roof of Symbolica had to be removed to bring in 2 parts of 8 meters long. The effect is not completely finished yet, but in the coming weeks the fish will swim properly again, Efteling said.
I think the next time you'll see anything it's the opening ceremony or a guests pov... (besides the ride nearly opening, Efteling has something with the number 7 they call it 'the number of the fairytales' (think 7 goats, 7 dwarfs) the new hotel has 7 floors etc)
Side note: Although there have been 1 or 2 projections surrounding Halloween before in the park (At Villa Volta, the madhouse and at Spookslot, the haunted castle) they were very mild... child friendly-ish as they are aware a family park shouldn't scare the living daylights out of kids This is the first time the whole area is themed around a ride, and where Halloween is actually used as a setting... The (possessed) Organ 'Esmeralda' used to tell the story of the Charlatans, in the park while construction was going on, will get a permanent place on the square so they can keep telling the story to (hopefully) draw you in -Note: This show has always lacked some foreign friendly hints (no English, German of French etc. keywords ) (except Walibi Hollands Halloween Horror Nights, a rip-off of Universal Studios version Halloween, and Toverland's Halloween Days & Nights* isn't that big in The Netherlands) *= Days are kid/teen friendly, after 6PM-ish the Nights begin and becomes more hardcore
I agree with you about this log flume being identical to the OLD log flume in King’s Island. The only excitement was the 2 drops. As I recall back in the 1970’s, King’s Dominion & King’s Island were Xerox copies of each other, one in Virginia & one in Ohio.
There is a soft opening on October 26, 27 and 28 for season ticket holders and a prize winner on October 30 and the regular opening is on October 31. I myself will go to the Efteling on October 31 and enjoy Danse Macabre. The act of Otto and Virgenie Charlathan can no longer be admired after this Making off until the opening of Danse Macabre. heey, like your video about your vision about dance macabre. they said there wil be 10 episodes, but im not sure. there will be a soft opening for the premium passholders, also there wil be a sort opening for press. im courious for it, and cant wait to see it the 31e of october
As a premium passholder I get to see it on the 27e of October. 31e is the official opening but they are running it with invited guest form the 26e. I will also be there on the 31e. We are warned that the Efteling won’t allow video, pictures or audio recording on the preview dates and also that the Efteling will be recording themselves.
By the way, did you already realize that the sweet little kitten 11:23 has the same eye colors as the Dance Macabre logo, 11:55 then he looks less sweet haha.

I thought they said somewhere before that they would make 10 episodes. With most making of's they often make one after the opening. But they have to be much faster with uploading to put 2 episodes online before October 31. I wonder if they are gonna do that.
In the ''dark'' part (it is indeed pretty dark) you see some lighting, you are sailing through the big ships, and before you see the face on the ceiling, you make a small drop down, go back up again (onto the tracks with chain that pull you up) and make an abrupt stop. Then you see the face, and he laughs. Obviously, you then get pulled up by the chain, and then u get down again outside. It's an amazing ride for sure! And even though I'm a huge wuss about roller coasters. It's really amazing. The feeling also really amazing. The whole attraction is amazing. Sadly I always go through the disabled people entrance via the backdoor, so I can't visit the show in the beginning. It does look wonderful too. But it's said, that it you look closely, you see at the start that the building is normal, later on the building gets more and more burned, and if I'm correct, you can even smell burning smells... Pretty insane!
The last few “mobile homes” were very upscale. You were like motor home history teachers, from the humble beginnings up to the present. I really liked this trip. ❤ Great work!!!
The tale of the Flying Dutchman is a very old ghoststory, brought to life pretty faithfully by the Efteling. They themed it in the style of the East India Company, and you can hear the ship's bell in the fog at sea. Sailors used to tell stories of exactly that: that you could hear the ship's bell at sea during foggy nights, and that is was a sign that the ghostship The Dutchman was near.
