Many reasons. To get bad genes out of the gene pool, to have only mature and healthy deer, and because those bucks don’t get to rut hardly at all. Only a few does a year so they get bigger bodies, which is more meat, and most of time the meat is absolutely more tender and better flavored. The last reason, which is most critical, but, because he wanted too. Maybe you could do something other than virtue signal people you don’t know on social media.
In NJ bucks with antlers less than 3 Inches classify as Doe, & on this specific property the Owner asked if we didn’t just shoot Big bucks, they said if you see a deer and you can legally take it to please do
@@SPOOKYBOY_SRT do u know how big the lungs are? Those passed through the rights hand side of the lungs, they would have run for maybe 20-30secs before dropping, then they would be dead in around 2mins, still better than dying from deer rot
@@ObviouslyOutdoorsmenhey buddy you did good all the ppl on here don't have a life they stay on there phone 247 just to find something to talk about and good shot to buddy
The buck in velvet is a cactus buck, he has no testicles, but has a whacker! They're sterile, don't breed but eat and grow usually huge bodies and keep velvet year round, I've killed two had biologist look at first one, happens when it's high numbers just a freak of nature!!!
There is a Severe overpopulation problem in NJ, we are one of the most densely bear populated states in the world for its size. I see at least a bear a day not even going in the woods.
@@JacobCranouski Was doing a little push to try and find this particular buck, this was like the 10th drive, didn’t think he’d be in the group, No bow in my hand 🥲 lesson learned
@@lamppost. Every Animal we take we eat everything on the animal meat wise and the heart on certain ones, Furs sometimes we tan and hang on the wall depending on the animal, certain ones well use for Fly fishing, some goes to mounts, and certain animals we’ll use the antlers for different tools, or dog chews , or crafts around the house
I'm plan on trying this year for the first time. I'm down in South NJ, could you recommend some state land for me to check out. Thanks and good luck on this years season.
That’s awesome! I mean the Bear population in Northern Nj is so high at this point, if you pick any state land in Sussex county and do some scouting, you’ll have multiple bears to pick from off your trail cam, throw a trail cam out there on some sweet corn and you’ll have deer & bear to pick from come the season
Depending on how pressured the Carp are is how I choose, If they are aggressive then a woolly bugger/streamer or weighted when they are feeding deeper, if they are very spooky then I go to small nymphs with lighter leader material
@@ObviouslyOutdoorsmen thank you.i have only caught one carp and it was on bait. But i see them a lot were I fish.I see them hit top water bugs and they jump a heck of a lot .the don’t grab the worms or power bait.i was gunna try an elk hair caddie fly next trip.
