No, no. Ive seen two many disasters to reward safety neglegence with number 2. People arent superheros, but they are responsible for basic safety guidelines and common sense. Safety is often made after a tragic event because of corruption and shortcuts in safety. Everyone involvee had no idea what to do, from crew to coast guard, to local politicians being out played by the parents.
<Why the 7 disappeared hours are important> Questions about President Park Geun-hye's 7 hours have been raised for nearly two years, but there is still no answer. In the meantime, a foreign reporter was prosecuted for the matter, tried, and banned from leaving the country, but still nothing is known about what he did during those seven hours. Despite the rather scandalous rumors that many imagine and talk about, the Blue House still has not come up with an explanation for those seven hours. It doesn't seem strange at all to have doubts that the '7 hours' can never be revealed because of the seriousness beyond imagination, which is also linked to the existence of the regime. Recently, while watching Kim Eo-jun's Popeyes, I think that maybe it is because the 7 hours are closely related to the Sewol ferry disaster, so I try to reason with a novel (!). Of course, all the stories below are fiction. As everyone knows now, the Park Geun-hye regime was weak from the beginning. The reason is, of course, that he was elected through fraudulent elections through vote manipulation, and from the beginning of the regime, he became extremely concerned about this issue. From the newly appointed Prime Minister to the Supreme Court and the Constitutional Court, the filling of public security prosecutors seems to have had nothing to do with this issue. In the first year of her inauguration, there was no opportunity to reveal the issue of election fraud because she traveled around the world wearing a hanbok, but it was indispensable to create a decisive opportunity to escape from the trauma of 'illegal election'. . In 2014, it was a time when a strong publicity strategy at the government level was desperately needed as it was under pressure from various circumstances, including the issue of the National Intelligence Service's election meddling. And I wonder if the plan was to imitate the 'Hero of Adenman' that Lee Myung-bak had fun with. When a ship with hundreds of passengers sank and was at the crossroads of life and death, the President showed successful leadership in rescuing all of them with the orderly on-site command, and it seems that it was such an operation to dispel the suspicion of the potential ember, the fraudulent election. . As for the passengers, it would be more effective to consist of young students rather than the general public, and it would have been better if there were as many people as possible, so they may have chosen a field trip group. And the process of the accident is the same as Kim Eo-jun's Popeyes showed. It was a drifting technique commonly used in car racing to go to the shallow waters near the island, lower the anchor, catch the boat, turn the rudder and knock it over. The fact that there was such a shock that a person jumped out of the Sewol ferry before the accident must have been the shock that appeared when the anchor first got caught on the seabed. After the ferry Sewol ran aground, the Blue House repeatedly requested photos and videos of the scene from Coast Guard 123. He said it was to report to the VIP (Park Geun-hye). They even asked me to send the picture to 'KakaoTalk'. At first glance, KakaoTalk may seem convenient, but you may think that it is not suitable as a means of reporting to the president. However, it seems that there is a clear reason for the 'Kakao Talk' report. In other words, you can imagine that President Park Geun-hye might have been in a situation where it was best to receive a report via KakaoTalk, that is, while on the move, not at the Blue House at the time. It is probably because the condition of the ship had to be checked even on the way to the site in order to put on a rescue show through President Park Geun-hye, who arrived at the scene by helicopter after the sinking of the Sewol ferry. The reason why the children were told not to escape and 'stay as they were' was also because they had to be rescued under the command of the president, and it was the same reason that the Coast Guard did not rescue the children and only watched them from a distance. It would have been the same reason for ordering it to be controlled. It may have been because the 'rescue show' did not help at all because the navy, which said it would be dispatched to the scene, as well as the US Navy and Japanese ships passing through the near sea were excluded. If this rescue show had been carried out properly, all the children would have survived and President Park Geun-hye could have forgotten the trauma of being elected due to fraudulent counting for a while due to the skyrocketing (?) approval rating. There is no doubt that the "rescue everyone" broadcast in the morning broadcast was also based on this scenario. The problem was that the self-propelled Sewol sank at a faster rate than expected, and the operation could not be started because President Park Geun-hye's arrival at the site was delayed. In other words, by the time President Park Geun-hye arrived, the ship had already tilted to such an extent that rescue was impossible, and as a result of an emergency meeting, it would have been decided to cancel the 'operation'. From this point on, the Coast Guard and others set out to rescue passengers using helicopters, but it was not enough to rescue so many passengers, and in the end, it would have led to the greatest tragedy in history. President Park Geun-hye, who went all the way to the Jindo site, returned to the Blue House after the operation was canceled, and from there to the general government building where the emergency headquarters is located, I think it was probably the 'disappeared 7 hours'. The reason why the Blue House cannot reveal the whereabouts of the past 7 hours even if it dies is because there is no room for excuses on the day when it comes out that it is a lie even if it is found out that it is a lie. This is because in the worst case, it is much safer not to reveal your whereabouts at all than to deal with fake ones in case your whereabouts are exposed. However, not only the general public knows the whereabouts of Air Force Unit 1 helicopters landing and landing in the backyard of the Blue House, but the radars of the United States, Japan, and China are all aware. In other words, these countries all know where President Park Geun-hye was during the 'disappeared 7 hours' when the Sewol ferry sank. It can only be a tremendous unspoken weapon. Now, the Park Geun-hye administration seems to be stuck in Japan and China, not to mention the United States, so I imagine that this weakness also plays a solid part. That is why the actions of President Park Geun-hye in 'The Disappeared 7 Hours' are important. This is because what happened at that time could be an important clue to explain the Sewol ferry disaster. . . . Of course, these stories are not real stories, but 100% fictional novels by imagination. When something is frustrating because the knot is not untied, wouldn't it be a novel to solve the frustration?
Very well done video. After watching many shipwrecks videos, they all almost have the same things in common. Negligence, corrupt people/company, greed, selfishness and overall people who are not doing things in a way that is best for the safety of the people on board or the ship itself. I've seen stuff like this personally in other ways, people will cut corners and do things that could cause serious harm to people until they get caught or something happens, so its a matter of time until something bad occurs. It is very scary and happens way too much. In general, horrible things occur way too much, humans seem to not learn from the past so it keeps repeating. The South Korea ferry accident is such a terrible tragedy, those kids trusted those in charge and thought they would be okay, they should all be alive. I hope they are in a better place.
There are no 2 points of view for what the captain did. He fled, choosing to save himself, when helping others was his job and people listened to him. He did not cause the catastrophy, but he did cause many deaths by choosing cowardess.
So true prediction another tragedy happen again, tis time 2022 Horroween stampage in itawan causing 156 death tolls! Now I know beneath all tos kpop glamorous d world know of, there's also d ugly human sides doings tat causes all tis 'lives' tragedy!!
Narrator: “We need to look into our own hindsight bias.” Me: “Fair enough. Idk much about what happened.” N: “The captain and the crew loaded nearly TWICE the legal limit” *GUILTY!* dafuq 💀
DISLIKE continued with acknowledgement of the disclaimer and a specific failure to present general TRUTH independent of the Sewol specifics. Time stamp 3:36 shows the avatar of a Third Office in command alone on the bridge with hands on the helm. 1. This NEVER happens on a vessel (neither military nor merchant) underway at sea. The hands of the officer in command NEVER touch the helm; the helmsman is present with hands on the helm. This misrepresentation by itself is worthy of a DISLIKE and a report. 2. Sewol specific: Three persons were present on the bridge at the instant of the disastrous turn (3:36): The Chief Engineer, the Third Officer (Park), and the Helmsman (Cho). All three survived the sinking and gave a personal testimony in court. This animation claims to be s study of human behavior, but places responsibility on one person where there were 3 people present. Every Merchant Marine Officer in the entire World should be deeply offended.
DISLIKE: This video contains two statements that are alleged defamation of 박한결 세월호. 1. 박한결 세월호 was not inexperienced: 박한결 세월호 holds a Maritime University degree (ask her professor) AND had experience navigating the channel on a different vessel. 2. 박한결 세월호 did not, “order,” the disastrous right turn: While doing her duty as the master of a privileged vessel on a predicted collision course, her orders were for 5 degree turns. Helmsman Cho reported that the wheel was disconnected from the rudder. All orders given after this disconnect are irrelevant. Regular Captain Shin predicted the imminent failure of the rudder on 2016.04.01. ¿What is the punishment for defamation (if documented) leading to false imprisonment. ¿Do remember that the first judge hearing the charges against 박한결 세월호 dismissed the charges?
The captain should’ve gotten death 🤷🏻♀️ Seeing him slither out of the hull like the snake he is while students text their parents makes me sick. At the end of the day as captain he was in charge of providing instruction and leadership to the inexperienced civilians. He’s responsible for telling them to sit and wait for their deaths.
Looking at that water/land/structure “accident timeline”, ship, subway, building, subway, ship… A structure incident may be next in line if they don’t get their greedy shitz together!🤯🤬
That is why we shouldn't always follow superiors. How could the captain escape and said students to stay in cabin wearing jaket. Just imagine Being in a Dark room and hearing water rushing in.
If only the captain told the students to get out instead of staying put .. it's heart wrenching to even think about suffocating under water unable to get to the doors , seeing people outside while you are desperately trying to escape, drowning , nobody helping you ..
No matter what other side or background factors where involved here the captain is 100% to blame. He is as his title suggests the captain and master of his vessel, he has the final authority and responsibility to safely guide his vessel. He made unacceptable decisions, risked safety for profit, and is an absolute disgrace to the job.
I can’t possibly understand what was in the captain’s mind. I mean ok, save yourself, but why on earth would he tell the students to stay in their cabins if he knew he was gonna abandon the ship? This is pure homicide
