I wonder if I could share on here as I hear this. 17 years ago I was told while pregnant I could not stop taking methadone. And that my child would be taken to special baby care unit. I did stop taking methadone with no adverse affects to my son who is now 17. It wasn't ab easy process for me but I think I'm trying to say here one rule does not fit all. All my medics told me. You can't. You will feel ultimately that didn't happen happen.

If harsh economic conditions make therapy unaffordable and the training of therapists is too expensive then what are the solutions?

Really enjoyed listening to this podcast, especially the bit about counselling Muslim clients. For a Muslim client coming to therapy there are so many intersectional experiences that they may bring to therapy. It's so important for therapists to be aware of this, and learn about others so as not to cause further damage to the client and their experiences of therapy. The client may well be attending therapy because of oppressive experiences within society, and to be met with ignorance and prejudice within therapy is compounding that experience. I always say there is nothing wrong with being curious and asking questions. It shows you're interested and want to learn!

Hi Rory and Ken. Thinking about group supervision i have a question. I have done facilitator training and facilitated group support and personal development groups. What other extra CPD would i need to run Supervision groups online. I have done both supervision and online counselling courses with Counselling Tutor...

Hey, thank you for your podcast I appreciate it. I am going to be going through the past 238 episodes in my past time :) I need to wright a book chapter about full functioning and was wondering if I could ask some questions? How would you say someone could develop to become more fully functioning? Also, what would you say are some flaws in the theory? (I.e. is it culturally specific)

Are boundaries 'fixed'? I don't quite get that! To me, boundaries shift all the time depending on how we talk about them; conceptualised and, more importantly, agreed upon, in the fluidity of language?
