Literally came here to warn people not to buy from comp 4x4. Honestly not sure if they're even still operating at all, but they will email you when you've placed an order. And then proceed to never send you the shipment or reply to reachouts. At best they're terrible at communicating. At worst, they're dishonest and steal people's money. Don't bother with them, go with 4x4 innovations, barnes, or one of the other sites that have a more established reputation.
Jared is an awesome guy, and through ALL my business dealings with him... went above and beyond. I do not know the circumstance behind his vanishing and closure... but I cannot believe it was malevolent.
@@GotScout I mean, he may have done good business in the past. But leaving an operational website with emails confirming orders, with no intention to ship said orders, is by definition malevolent and dishonest.
When you weld the sleeve in... you are holding the spindle to set height. The heat creates shrinkage and that locks it as one. Additionally I personally drill 2-3 holes in the sleeve for plug welds, and then the spindle bottom and sleeve, weld together. I only use Jared's larger 1.75 big one, in dual shear though. But same same.
We don't rate these to a specific size of tire or weight. This is our lightest duty version. We have a lot of different versions to accommodate any weight and design. See more styles HERE: www.comp4x4.com/collections/tire-carrier-hinges
