Thanks for the video! Last time I fished the Goose Island SP pier I managed to catch a keeper redfish. The cattle field across from the Big Tree in Lamar is a great place to spot whooping cranes. BTW...Pop's makes a great burger!
Good video, thanks! I'm afraid I'd spend my whole time watching for the gators. Are they ever a problem down there? It seems the warning signs are there for a reason.
Most of the time the gators mind there own business. If you are wading make sure to not tie your stringer in such away that it will not breakaway easy. Same as in the surf to keep the sharks from pulling you under if they try to snatch the fish on your stringer.
My family fished copano baymany years. Thru the 60's,70's. Into the 80's till people bought the place we fished and built houses. There was an old building right where we fished. ,it looked like maybe a motel, it was white, had different rooms in a row. The roofs were gone I want to say rattlesnake road, but I'm not sure. U got any remembrance of that?
Amazing to come across some of histories past...lost treasures indeed. Sure does make us appreciate our history and what we all enjoy today. Take good care and continued safe travels. Bruce and Otis
My phone likes to truncate, because I also speak Spanish! Just be careful of snakes, gators before you reach for stuff. Never fished in those areas, but have worked at the Barge Canal, where there are more gators, but about the same size, never bothered us. Just like you said , keep your distance, a rod might be your only friend.
How long have yall lived around fulton? My family vacationed there, yrs before I was born and yrs after. I'm 60. Lol,I'm looking for someone that can tell me about fulton family cottages,if u remember them, and the place we fished,i cannot remember
I used to stay at the Hidden Oaks RV Park. I often fished Charles Bay might have seen you. I have to add your info. is spot on another spot to try is the north end of Copano Bay bridge nice parking and often full of specks and reds. Be well tight lines. I'm on the north shore of Copano Bay now up near Bayside and it's a fisherman's paradise.
Another fun time Jack! I found that people don’t respect crosswalk stops like they used to. Great looking carnival! Wow I have never seen a cardboard boat race! Thanks for sharing this memory with us! Until our adventures cross…
I was watching another couple youtubers they were on the Port A jetties and actually caught a few tarpon and kingfish.and some bull reds of course they are younger guys than you and me and with a little more energy.
Yes sir! If you go out far enough you can snag them. I have not done much jetty fishing. I want to try some more before the bull red run is over. Thanks for watching. Until our adventures cross...
Thanks I get all my music and sound effects from epidemicsound.com. That way I don't have to worry with copyright issues. It makes things a lot easier to find tracks that fit your videos. Hope you subscribe trying to build this channel. Until our adventures cross... Jack
