You can take this example and see it as a general problem with American way of thinking. They only know about their own country. Even an "expert" in basketball has never even made the effort to look what has happened in his sport elsewhere. So lets not be surprised that he does not even know the name of one of the most legendary players in Europe. Its just American culture to be close minded and only recognize whats happening in the great USA. I personally think its a huge shortcoming but who am I.
