Now in our fifteenth year of business, Middle C Music is a community music store that serves and promotes Washington musicians of all ages and skills. We are the only full-service music store operating in the District of Columbia.
We carry print music, acoustic and electric guitars, basses, band instruments (for sale & rent-to-own), musical accessories, music-themed gifts, books on music, CD's, magazines, and more. We primarily focus on jazz, classical music, popular, and musical theater, with a special commitment to DC based artists and composers.
We can fill special orders from most major music publishers, normally without any extra shipping charges.
We are conveniently located at 4530 Wisconsin Avenue, NW, one hundred steps north of the Tenleytown- AU Metro stop on the Red Line.
Just got my daughters clarinet today... She can now at least make a sound which puts her ahead of some of the grade 6 Students. We had fun playing around with it.
Thank you! I’ve been playing for 10 years, but I had 9 different teachers during the first 7 years, so no one really taught me the basics. A few weeks ago I realized that air was coming out of my mouth, so unfortunately I have to start over again with my mouth. Hopefully it’s good in a couple weeks. This video helped a lot!
I’m a flutist in a high school band and my director recently told me to try the clarinet. This is a good lesson, considering it’s half the length of every other video I found. Thank you!
You can get a neck strap for a clarinet to support the weight of the instrument, making it easier to hold. I know this because I've got one, and it makes holding and playing the clarinet much easier for me! Great video though and thank you very much for sharing.
I needed to do something for me so I decided to buy a clarinet and get back in touch with my 6th grade self. I managed to put it together by myself (thanks for reinforcing that i did it right! 😁) and it is all coming back - 40+ years later. Great lesson. Thank you!
It's true to the Original Manuscript (sometimes copies that are close enough to it) and for La Straveganza since they don't have a Realized Keyboard Continuo Part, the Piano Part from the Piano Reduction score could be used a Realized Continuo Part (those little brackets indicate just the Continuo Section is playing).
Hi, Thank you for the wonderful video, I followed your way to blow the clarinet, how come my sound was in high pitch sound, it was nothing like yours... Where did I go wrong?
My aunt found a Clarinet idk where but it’s from 1991 it says and gave it to me and this helped me build it and make a sound but the only thing wrong with the clarinet is that is missing the brown piece to hold everything you can make a sound but need to hold it from the bell
very informative, thank you; i haven't taken my instrument out of the case yet, i was looking for assembly instructions, i'll subscribe and watch your post a couple more times, and proceed with confidence, thanks again
Nowdays they are only selling the 36" traveler version. Besides the absolutely tiny scale, tunes with high notes like Se Ela Perguntar sounds absolutely dreadful!
I haven’t played clarinet since high school, but I recently had a baby girl and it inspired me to pick up the clarinet once again. What a beautiful sound it makes
Saw Miss Haynes at the Borders book store in Waldorf Md about 20 years ago , what a classy lady and a great performance. I bought a the cd she was promoting and it is still one of my favorites
