I am so glad this house was not torn down, but.... Why did the Heritage Develepers totally modernize this awesome hobbit house, and All in white???! . Should have been restored to its Heritage grandeur with Heritage design. Nothing on the inside even hints Heritage Hobbit. So sad. As a child when we drove past this awesome house, my dad had to slow down so I could look at my favorite house. Now as an adult, I would have loved to see what it originally looked like.
Agreed, they absolutely killed it with the Reno, turning it into a museum of quartz, just blasphemy. It's a shame for the person who spent 1M to do that too, as now it's having trouble selling when the outside is the polar opposite to the inside. Would have been way cooler if preserved the original style :(
@@suzannemandybura6333 I completely agree with you. There were so many other directions they could have taken the interior of this home. Instead, they went as generic as every other condo on the market. I was really hoping to see wood as the material of choice for the interior, something like Hobbiton. Very disappointed with the interior.
The interior was always modern and has been updated a few times, only the exterior had that Hobbit look, it's been pretty much exactly the same since I first saw it in the early 1980s.
@@ajcheema Homes being renovated to go on the market and new homes are usually done in white, it's up to the buyer to customize it. Adding too much colour to the actual home can turn away buyers, that's why they decorate them with furnishings and artwork.
