Very late post but I started at fedex ground in Wallingford. I love it. It's part time,I can get into work and home by 9:45-10:00,I can spend some time with online school, and spend some time with my family. It's the easiest job on planet earth.
FedEx ground is horrible . Please don’t work for FedEx . I quit my third day … I was on unload …. Fuck that I’m not no slave . Shit literally messed my back up
It's the biggest POS job I've ever worked. I'm a delivery driver. They pay drivers 150$ per day, no overtime compensation, no 401k, no benefits. They outsource their driver jobs through 3rd party contractors so they can get away with not providing a livable wage for the people that literally carry their company while they make $$$ and the contractors make money.
It took FedEx express 50 years to become the leader in the industry but with the current upper corporate management they are doing all they can to destroy it by the end of this decade. Closing FedEx express stations and laying off it's employees is not the FedEx express we retired and current express employees hired on with. Pushing the express freight on the ground independent contractors who have no say on this corporate re-vamp will be the undoing of FedEx as we once knew. The ground drivers are paid minimum wage and receive no benefits. In my neighborhood there have been at least 25 new drivers in the last 3+ since I retired. The ground side business model of FedEx is not for the employees rather it is a way for upper management to attain new bonuses and compensation like they have never seen. It is almost criminal the direction that FedEx express is headed now under the leadership(🤔) of Raj? People Service Profit used to be the company's motto but that has gone out the window now
Work fedex 4 years . .36 cents per year left due too Mangerment set up to fall after freight done Mangerment will put fake box in building if don't fine them you write up when ask get off skeek fine Mangerment always say start rotate that lie
TNT / FEDEX ARE THE WORST COMPANIES IVE EVER DEALT WITH, HERE IN UK I PAID CUSTOMS CHARGES BY BANK TRANSFER 1 MONTH LATER I GET DEBT RECOVERY LETTER SAYING I HAVE NOT PAID, WHEN I RANG CUSTOMER SERVICE THEY SAY I MUST CONTACT SELLER IN USA !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! ANY ONLINE SELLERS THAT USE THESE COMPANIES I WILL NEVER BUY FROM EVER FOR THE REST OF MY LIFE.
The problem is you guys keep doing it you need to stand up and say no they can't work you if you say no get everybody together to stop working at once if you guys just go one day everybody at once not working do you know how many hundreds of thousands of dollars they would lose if you all would stand just one and not work. For f*** sake get together with everybody have yourself $1,000 in the bank to get through a week. Everybody stop working at once. Stand up for yourselves. Crying on RU-vid isn't going to get you anywhere nobody gives a s*** you got to stand up for yourself. I'm sorry you're going through this experience but you need to pull together as a team your human beings not animals. You have the ability to sort boxes so you have the ability to communicate and rally to stand up for yourselves. If you can't do it for yourself do it for your country because this is what's ruining the country all you guys working for nothing and taking it and doing nothing but crying and not standing up for yourself. Stand up for yourselves be proud of who you are and your abilities this is America you have rights
there are some nice and humble managers, aand theres a new dickhead ex military manager that i got about a month ago. easily the worst person ive ever worked with very unprofessional
My shift is 5pm to whenever the last truck gets there. We have 1. The strip 2. Primary ( where I work) we have 3 belts. The red, green and blue. The missorts go on the blue belt. We also have a non con belt. They don't go upstairs - too heavy / bulky. We also have 3. The outbound. I was in the outbound for my first 19 years. Now I'm in the primary. My knees can't take the outbound - it's mainly trucks and cans.
I've been working there for 21 years. Amazon is better imo to use but not to work there. There's no union dues to the stupid obsolete railroad labor laws. I don't know anybody who uses trains to ship things nowadays.
I literally went to orientation and everything was sketchy as hell lol. I quit before I started 🤷. Sounded like the pay wasn't worth the toll on the body. I literally got there and they didn't ask my availability whatsoever. It was do you want one shift or another shift? No matter what shift I chose, they said I had to start at 4 in the morning regardless. So I was out before I was in. Simple as that 🤷
They don't make you take break at FedEx I been working with them since 2 week now they hours is no money 💰 to mi but just because mi can't do better cause I want the money they making you work so hard I don't really like it at all they don't pay good and they shifts no good a swear but I love do package handler it's mad fun but am getting used to it
About hydration. Need to replace electrolytes sweated out as well. I stand only water the first 2 days. All my muscles started cramping up. Luckily I caught what was happening in time. I have to drink 2 Gatorade’s along with water.
I’m at a main Ohio hub. Been there 2 months full time. Generally minimum 10 hours, sometimes 11.5 . First sore is unload and second is load. Sunrise load gets run ragged, and they won’t let you do 2 unloads. I just filled out the paperwork to go to part time. Finding out my knee joints cannot take the abuse of 2 sorts. Lost 3 pants sizes in 2 months is the only bonus right now. The pain is not…….I work mid/sun.
FedEx does not care how they treat people in patients.. 3 truck came to our bldhing . .I knew the date my package was suppose to arrive.. . First truck came. .I went to my door . .I heard his truck drive away. 2nd truck came. Driver left my package and two other tenants in the mail room for someone to walk away with.. .he first when he pulled up, delivered a package to a house across the street. . Time I got upstairs with my package mad. . For not bringing it up and knocking on my door. I sat my package on the table near the window to open it up, when I spotted out the window, two people across the street trying to take the package , who was from my bldging. I flew up the window, asking hry id that your package ? . If I had not gone down to get mine, . A few minutes later, those two coming in the bldging. Would have stolen mine.. .3 trucks came driver to residence door . .one left then down stairs for some to take
I work at Fed Ex and I hate it! I’m very short and skinny this is a terrible job for me! The only reason I work there is because it’s the only place that is hiring and keeping people during the pandemic.
I worked loading trailers for about a month...i quite because they expected me to work a trailer by my self that was getting hit so hard the conveyor line was backed up constantly...because I could not keep up I was given an ultimatum. Quit,or get fired so I quite...it seems when peak is over management tries to weed out as many employees as possible because they don't want to pay the extra poeple..so they pressure them into quitting. The trailers are always filthy and the lines are always flooding with about a dozen boxes avalanching toward you at the same time...they don't give a damn about safety.
@@AB-xh4vr i thought about that....but my living situation at the time would not have permitted it. i was staying with a friend of mine for 200 a month, hes against unemplyment and sees it as a form of wellfair, had i gotton on unemployment he would have thrown me out. of course he ended up throwing me out sometime after that anyway so i guess it does not really matter at this point.
I worked at a sub station in Canada. The problem is it was 20km from town and they did not guarantee your hours and you were rushed to get it done so they could send you home.
