Yup. I'm not on the MPC but know dang well it's about coming out those cables and hittin some outboard on the way in! It's on the person and their budget to decided what that's gonna be. I can't imagine spending the money on a Live or X and transferring the files LMAO no different than software at that point imo
I've owned a bunch of synths. The Jupiter X is probably underrated to some extent. When I don't want to fight my way to a good palette I reach for the X.
I have an MC-707 and a MIDI keyboard controller hooked up to it. Jupiter X and the MC-707 both have the ZEN-Core engine. What am I missing if I don't have the Jupiter X?
mc-707 has a streamlined version of zencore engine. iirc, its not compatible with Jupiter X sound packs. Jupiter X has WAY more sounds onboard and different synth models like jupiter 8, jx-8p. MC-707 is a really good grovebox but Jupiter X is their current flagship synthesizer so its loaded up almost like an integra 7.
I get it dude, that is the dope thing about music creation it has so many ave's to cruise down. Music Gear is like food man some people will like some stuff some people wont some stuff you know. Also with the roland cloud i was subscribed and was not happy with the service. I dont like the fact the manager stills runs in the background while not even using anything from roland software wise. Along with not being able to buy the lifetime license without being able to use it not connected to the cloud still. So i'll more then likely just save up for the Jupiter and Juno. I have no true bias....Well unless you're the Akai Timbrewolf then it's getting some side eye.
if you have a bunch of outboard gear and processes, get a sound card with the iOS where you can plug everything up and run your outboard gear just like a plug-in
anyone that has a recording console and is using a dAw as tape is basically the same as dragon and drop it because if you drag drop inside your dog, you’re gonna send it from your daw back into the console do the same mix you would do if you were tracking it out through the eight out and send it back into the door for final print
I’d rather export out the mpc explode all the tracks. Vs tracking into my Apollo. For a couple reasons. 1. I’m not relying on any compressor made for the mpc’s on a record so I’m going to be mixing in the box. 2. I’d rather save my inputs, first which I do have 14, for my keyboards, my dj mixer, Rhodes, 808. 3. I don’t have and external pre amps.

As a novice music are sound producer that is the one issue I keep in mind about RU-vid or any social media: Sound theivery. All I can imagine is big bright fish crumb greasy lip smiling ass somebody happy to hear a new beat then taking it and trying to rise off my sh_t.
I wanna get'em at some point. Right now, my money is kinda tight. However, I bought his last drumkit before this one and it slaps hard as well. I'm definitely gonna get'em though.

Good on you in that MPC new world. I think I want that one but not sure yet. MPC1000 4x OUT - > ZED24 -> 2CH Audio interface -> Reaper. It would be nice to do more than stereo but man I'm an old head and Im having tons of fun.
I might do a video comparison of the new EA drums vs the first drums, I actually prefer the first pack but to Me they are very similar in terms of how they cut through the mix. They are some of the best drums I have, also should noted that significant portion of drums sound, are unique, I dont have anything else that sound like them. This shows Me that there was alot of effort by EA to make something fresh and unique, rarely seen by someone of his level.
