Old bay seasoning and garlic powder, ditch the curry (maybe only use it in jollof rice if you can't do without)! Always start with fresh onions and garlic and scotch bonnet ofc. Works for almost every dish - taste will always be giving

Exactly! I don't cook with many spices just (curry, thyme, pepper. Seasoning cube, salt, and onions) literally! 😅 abd my food comes out bomb! I literally get compliments a lot... you don't have to do too much to get a great taste! The only thing I do differently for soups is crayfish, and I don't put curry and thyme in soups.
For spices I just have specific things for different meals. For example I'd use curry if I'm making rice or stew but I'll leave it out if I'm making soup
