Corresponded with Bruce Ray Brown asking him about the song “ Mr. DJ” and how him and Charlie did it. He wrote back the next day and told me step by step. Guy is total gentleman. I could not figure out how they did it. Bugged me for years. It’s so well done. First letter I’ve written a guy. Just nice to know there are still good men out there. Guys a rockstar/ country rock star in my book.

I saw CDB live 7 times. I kept going back because he and his band was never drunk or obnoxious on stage. Every show he gave it his all. Money well spent every time I bought a ticket for CDB. Charlie Daniels was a great musician and great American patriot.

I'll always have a soft spot for state park movies like this. My folks took me all over America as a kid and we visited so many different state parks and national landmarks. Movies like this will always make me think of the visitor's center at a state park and the room where they would play the movie. It was always a quiet and dark little room set off to one side from the rest of the visitor center with a few rows of benches. I miss that so much.

Haunted. My sister and her husband stayed there with a group from his work provided by the owner of the company he worked for. They had heard rumors of this hotel having unusual happenings and what could be considered hauntings. They really weren’t scared and thought it was just novel. Until... in the middle of the night.. the lights went on automatically. They turned them off, just thinking it to be an electricity malfunction, when 2 minutes later, they go on again. This time, they felt a very dark negative energy, and they checked out immediately and drove the two hours home to Maine because they were so disturbed.

My husband and I have always stayed at the Mt. Washington Hotel. We have looked into the Mountain View and are excited to check it out. Unfortunately when we were at the Mt. Washington Hotel in July there were hardly any staff to keep up with anything! The worst I’ve seen since going there. Pretty sad actually. 😑😔

very nice....a fellow subscriber '''Jewish Man'' wrote I am dead to my Jewish people....yet Elvis got it right.....in the Bible... As Isaiah predicted the one who comes to die to make intercession for us, will be despised and rejected by us. I would rather be alive to the prince of peace God mighty sar shalom El gibor, than alive to do those who choose to be dead to our loving Messiah. Though many have used his name to hate us, He says to love all people and gives us the power to do it..in ;singer Lamb song 'the sacrificed lamb' has been slain to give us a way....no temple no atonement or did God tell the truth and provide atonement for us first before as many rabbi's have said= our sins lost us the temple and sacrifice for sin.....thanks and please pray for him

My family summered at the Forest Hills in Franconia, and later at the Sunset Hill House in Sugar Hill. I remember sitting on the Veranda of the sunset Hill House drinking home made lemonade and watching my father putt golf balls across the lawn. That New Hampshire is long gone, and I feel bad my grandchildren will never see it.... BUT I try to give them a vision of what it was like on the off chance that some future generation might choose to bring it back. AND... in the early 1970's there was a motel, part way up Kinsman Mountain called the Notchway. It was not by any stretch of imagination "grand" but the view from the dining room window surely was. Unfortunately it too is long gone.

@@jewishman2687 How does Sawyer Road or Zealand Road compare?
@jewishman2687
@jewishman2687 3 года назад
@@Dpaq13 Never been of the Sawyer trail (I'm assuming you mean the Sawyer pond trail). Thought about it once, but then we had an early snow, and I wasn't prepared for that, also couldn't get a pick up on the 302 side. On the zealand hike, there are places where you now can see traffic, and hear the noise of trucks and construction. When I stayed in Franconia the only paved road through there was State Rt. #3. I guess that's what Thomas Wolfe meant when he wrote; "You can't go home again."

My Aunt and Uncle and subsequent cousins.... live there still. Their home had the most beautiful view of Cannon Mountain. You could see the Tram taking skiers and tourists up to the top. I love where she lived it was beautiful with a rushing brook in the back yard and I was so blessed that I was able to spend three summers there from seventh grade through my freshman year. My Uncle is now gone, and my Aunt in a home and my cousins, ( her grandkids ) now live in her beautiful home and their Mom and Dad down the road. The views were exquisite and I will always feel blessed that I was able to spend so much time there.
