This is my favorite Mr Bungle song with Methematics and Squeeze Me macaroni wish one day I can go to a Mr bungle concert or Faith No More but with the legendary Jim Martin hope so one day but I only dream about it
I love Tomahawk as well. Saw them live with The Melvin’s at The Cats Cradle in 2003 and it was an epic show. That being said I love everything Mike has been apart of as you have to have an open mind musically. My favorite thing Patton has done is when he joined Dillinger Escape Plan as the lead vocalist for 1 album and it was a GD MASTERPIECE!
Theres a reason Mr. Bungle quickly moved on from metal back in the day.... they arent very good at it. This is boring. This wouldnt be a top 20 thrash album no matter what year it was released in.
I agree, sorta. I don't think what they're playing here is boring but coming up in the Bay Area there was no chance. That's where the best thrash came from and yeah, compared to some Exodus in '85 this would be boring but at this point those guys can do whatever the fuck they want to do, so they're gonna have fun dusting off the old stuff. Get fucking Lombardo and Scott Ian...nah man this is not boring to me at all. It's fun as fuck and as an old hessian myself I enjoy this quite a bit.
Mike was in Mr. Bungle before FNM. He's been jamming with Trevor and Trey since high school back in Gemini then Bister Mungle. Mike is an amazing (GOAT) performer. He's always like to dress up and fuck with people. It's his job. It's what he do. Trey and Trevor have other gigs as well. And don't forget Mike is also running his own record label. If anything, he's a genius. And one funny mutha funka! Been a huge Patton fan for 33 years now. And please correct me if I'm wrong, pretty sure Trey is grew up in Eureka as well.
All these comments about "old" Mike and how "lucky" we are that he is "still alive and able to play music".. the guy is only like 54 or 55, I'm not entirely sure but my point is that he isn't that old! Not by todays life expectancy. You all act like he has one foot in the grave lol
I know right, I’m the same age as this dude and very much ALIVE! He’s been doing that oxygen tank shit for years. Likes to do his Frank impression from Blue Velvet… VERY much looking forward to sold out Bungle in Manchester UK this summer!
Yeah, but that's also what makes him so great. Maybe not one of the best "singers", but I think he is one of the best "vocalists" of all time with his ability to change his voice, or has so many different voices. Pretty sure he has a 3 octave range too with his voice. Another plus. Love what he does. People like him keep rock interesting and fresh.
