Fortune Off-Road is a channel devoted to the everyday, hardworking families out there that long for adventure. We are blessed to live a life of excess, and with that we've chosen to chase our dreams of building off-road vehicles to experience the outdoors of California, and the country. Life is too short to simply dream about adventure; we must pursue it! On this channel our goal is to share build tips, review products and trails, and encourage you to start your own off-road vehicle build! If we can build these trucks, you can too!
It doesn't matter what type of 4x4 you own or the amount of money in your build budget. Use what you've got, take friends and family with you, and start your adventure!
Compare it to a master gauge. They are accurate. When i tested my digital against it, it was within 0.5 psi. The digital gauge i use ive had for bout a year and a half and its still this accurate. Last time i tested it was 2 months ago. Its by Haltec.
@MrAjc407 it would depend on what backspacing tour wheels are and with what axles. I'm not sure if it will work that way. There are a lot of factors. It should at least work for street driving.
@@parkergabrielson9602 spring hangers in the front moved forward 4" with a sharper shackle angle to help them unload more. 3.5" springs and longer shackle too
Sitting here watching your video with my wife and she wanted me to tell you just go to Costco and get a rotisserie chicken. In the amount of time it took you to smoke your chicken you could have driven to Costco and bought one. But I enjoyed your video and your follow through. Probably won’t repeat your process. But the chicken looks good and I would eat it if you made it.
I've had the Costco chicken enough times to know I'm not a fan. It's generally undercooked and bland. The Whole Foods rotisserie chicken has much better flavor with the spices they use, and the skin is nice and crispy, unlike the wet noodle skin of the Costco bird. I will happily pay $3 more for the smaller WF chicken because it's so much better. [/rant] Anyway this video is great! Thanks for making it. I will try this on the Webber CGA I just got. Have you tried adding wood chips or chunks for more smoke flavor?
I have seen his videos, and it looks to me like you have the drop missing links reversed????? I guess they will work either way though. I have to contemplate this. You may actually be on to something doing it this way!!!!!! I just thought of one thing,, your approach angle is not affected. Actually is better in this configuration. May want to talk to the guy that made them and see what he thinks??? Seems like a really great guy!!!! The one thing I can see that is not good is that the spring is forcing the movement forward. If you had the shackle at a 30deg. angle forward, it would enhance the travel directions of the spring softening the overall spring rate. The way it is now hardens the spring rate overall. So offroad,,, GREAT!!!!!! On road,, BAD!!!!!!! LOL there's videos out there about shackle angle and effective spring ratings that actually make total sense.
Way better than the piece of sheet metal I used haha. I love the hatch, wonder if theres one thats a little flatter that doesnt stick up so much. The hole I cut is much smaller so I have room to cut a bigger hole. I tucked my tank up to the body so theres only like an inch between the floor and the tank, the lines nearly touch the floor lol.
@@FortuneOffRoad Honestly I need to either sink a fuel cell thru the floor or buy the tank you have. I have a highly modified stock tank and its in my way. I have a 15 gallon cell in the garage but I dont want to give up the space behind seat. Thought about sticking it through the floor and building a false floor above it. maybe 3-4" above the existing floor and the rest would hang below.
You need a decent length of hose between the air tank and the air hub to prevent the pressure sensor(s) from freezing over. Have they made it possible to remove the battery and hard-wire it in to power for a permanent mount?
Plastic? Was the access door made for that application. Looks like something off a RV trailer that was purchased from camping world. Is a metal access door available for that type of install?
@@FortuneOffRoad Your rear drive shaft is not normal way around. Its Two piece axle. And The shorter piece with The male Bore should Be connected to transfer case. Atleast every ive seen is that way. And my own Suzuki too. Just intrested if thats on purpose
@markoherranen8108 As long as it's not double cardan, it shouldn't matter. I prefer to have the shorter, slip end at the bottom. That's the end that will hit rocks and if you have a spare like I do, you can just change the slip yokes.
Hmmm…was about to pull the trigger on this system but your Powertank demo now gives me pause. I reached out to Morrflate and asked them about the issue with the lines getting too cold.
Greetings from Pontassieve, province of Florence, Italy. I have a Suzuki Jimmy 4x4 with a 1.3 LT m13a petrol engine from 2001, all original, which I use to go to the countryside, the forest and the mountains on the agricultural and forestry roads used by the logging companies.
Evap canister hoses….ugggg, I know the struggle. Surprised that fill hose was cracked already. I put a new fuel pump in when taking out the float plastic housing (it was distorted and causing float to stick), however it didn’t work🤷🏼 Great to see you back and turning a wrench.
