Yngwie is a lot like Satch. When asked who you’d rather play with many say Satch because he’s capable of playing every genre. Malmsteen is the same way. He just prefers to write that classical type stuff.
As I said it started fine. I wasn’t looking for him, it simply was presented to me. At about half way he started a tremendous piece of work that showed real class. Very nice indeed. Speed is not the answer.

He is respected and admired for what he does according to you, half a nonsense lol from billion dollar companies that they see him as a major asset to Jeff Bezos using his music for his space ship, to Mayors of Italy to museums across Europe who have honored him , to Boss giving him a lifetime achievement award to TIME Magazine naming him the be Best player in history. That nonsense is what makes the Billion dollar use his name and images to sell sell sell.His name and image, music and playing is legendary statues lets name some of these companies shall we... Signature models out there using Yngwie Malmsteen nonsense playing lol are Fender, Fender custom shop, Seymour Duncan, Marshall Amps, Ovation guitars, Dunlop 3 signature model two more apparently coming out this year.
It's all about TONE ! I saw The Martin Barre Band in a 800 seat venue . He had a Soldano head and a SINGLE Barefaced 12" cabinet . The sound was excellent . The board was fairly compact . I am sure THEIR sound engineer was totally in control and no one was killed with stage volume . Previously he would use a 2-12" Marshall cabinet . I have seen Santana with a small Mesa Boogie set up in a stadium . Let the sound engineer work the house sound .
He does (to a certain extent). If you look closely, only two speakers are mic'd. When I saw him a bunch of years ago, I noted that only a couple amps had cables running to their inputs. If you watch the Rig Rundown, when they show the back of the wall, only a couple cabinets are connected. It's pretty funny! Beyond that, as one who was a teenager in the '70s, I still get excited when I see a huge backline despite knowing (or suspecting) that most of it isn't running anyway.
A wall of fake Amps and 4x12-cabinets. Left to the stage a single Ampeg-Refrigerator…like this would fit the bill to not faked Cabinets of the guitar….other than that, outstanding Band!
I think that they're all real. Most of them aren't one or connected. Watch his rig rundown on RU-vid...when they go around back, you'll see that most of the amps and cabs aren't connected. It's funny!

En trummis som sitter och bankar utan nån koll alls på denna klassiker, gitarronani utan nån som helst känsla och sjunga bör karln låta bli; för att inte tala om den erbarmligt kassa keyboardisten..... Pension kanske Yngwie? Eller åtminstone ett nytt band med kompetenta musiker och en sångare!
Makes Marshall look useless, all those Amps (28) and Cabs (12) and all the Bass Player needs is one Head and a 8x10 cabinet. Drummer, just two sticks and a block of wood.
