New subscriber here, fellow bait maker as well. Hopefully you hit the 1k subscribers soon. I just did a massive 500 subscriber give away yesterday on my channel.
Great content. I think you mentioned it, but I want to make sure I got it. For bass, is the order of learning from quick to slow, smallmouth, spotted, and then largemouth? Thanks.
Here’s a question for ya… whenever I mix my chartreuse green, and Orange, it detracts the colors. The orange turns out being a reddish/brown and the green turns yellow. I tried making the electric chicken color you did. How hot did you shoot the plastisol at? (Laminated)
Get a color wheel off of Amazon, it will help with your color mixing. I try to shoot my laminates at 320-325 but more important than the temps is the viscosity of the two colors. You don't want one thicker than another, you want them as close as possible.
Let me know how you think I did on this color match. I don't think I did to bad considering the only picture I had was on my phone and I had to use said phone to shoot the video.
this is great thanks! I read this book years ago from the library but can't find it anymore and it's too expensive to purchase. My memory is vague and the book was very technical so I'm not sure I am remembering clearly. I remember the two toned silver with black back doing better than solid colors, but I was disappointed that they didn't test other two toned color variations. I'm thinking that because this was backed by Berkely, once they found that solid colors weren't much of a factor they didn't pursue it because they were soft bait oriented and more into scent, like power baits.
That laminate worked great. Wondering if you have a c-block and if you have ever used it with that mold? Also, that is the orange I have been looking for....thanks again!!!
@@smisekscustombaits4621 understand although maybe less one drop on shell then heavy grape for core contrast. Just a thought. Did learn new method. Hope you experienced blessed Thanksgiving still free.
Hey Rick, the only path is by yourself! I was kind of ready for a new color schematic and pour…”wow”. Stinks that you have to go through this, but you appear to have the plan mapped out within and for your path forward. Keep putting one foot in front of the other. You appear as you will weather the storm out.. I was thinking about the word “Adult”, I probably would have said “man” but I’m not a civilized person. All that said , I enjoy the content you put out there. Take care and stay safe!
