❤ Bravo, Ilya! A very talented pianist!you can see what a hard worker he is and how much he loves music! He has a great apparatus and very deep and perfect intropritations!❤
Congratulations to the winners, all wonderful musicians, Ilya Schmukler is wonderful, I would have liked Kate Liu to have been included in the final, her Brahms Liszt and Mozart were great.
I thought it was bold and refreshing to hear a Bartok Concerto and the Grieg. I tire of the Rach 2nd and 3rd, the Prokofiev 3, or the Tchaikovsky 1st. That to me is tiresome. Contests have become more about who can play the most difficult pieces and how fast. The music is lost so often. Ilya's Grieg was musically sublime. Not the most difficult technically, but musically.. he owned it.
It was back in June 2022, exactly two years ago that Ilya performed a fantastic Mozart and Grieg Concertos at the Van Cliburn competition and won a Mozart prize, after Yunchan’s Gold, and finally back in Europe to win his crowning Gold🏆🥇and a truly beautiful Mozart prize❤Bravissima👏👏Ilya🎉🎉🏆❤️ Congratulations 🥰🎉💐🥂👏👏👏💫✨✨

I wonder why the quality of the videos of such an important competition can’t be better (especially the audio). I was in the hall. The sound there is completely different.

@@lilianadibattista9190Mozart didn't finish the fantasia. Another composer finished it. The pianist here chose to play the original unfinished version, immediately followed by the Brahms Ballad which is in the same key.
Thanks for commenting. Of course, the concerto has been written for harpsichord, but if only harpsichordists would play it today ... almost nobody would know it. In our opinion, it's the music itself which is beautiful, also performed on a modern piano. Have a wonderful day!
Bro I love this concerto. My only question is if the violin concerto is real. How do we know since we don’t know who wrote it and we can’t find the manuscript for it?
If you are interested in the scholarly theories surrounding the creative process of Johann Sebastian Bach's 1st Harpsichord Concerto, then why not read the Critical Report on Concertos for Harpsichord BWV 1052-1059 in the New Bach Edition? It should also be available in every musicological library.
