Not a day has gone by without Liam talking about our day fishing with you. You made a great impression on him. Already planning our trip for next year.
Will be fishing Lake Wabigoon 9/13 thru 9/20, fished it last year at the same time and caught very few walleye...the weather looks like summer conditions for the week. Last year we fished 13 to 15 feet deep most of the time. Any info you could give me would be greatly appreciated. I did catch a nice fat 40 inch musky. Love your videos.
@@patrickbercini2718 I’m still fishing midwater structure, yesterday there were fish on every hump I tried, they were being really fussy and you had to leave the bait on the bottom and could barely detect the bite. Some guys at camp last week did ok just circling Devil’s Island which I’m sure you’re familiar with if you’ve been to Bonny Bay before. I have also been picking up some nice walleye on my Crappie spots on steep shorelines in around 22’ feet.
Hello Simon, you said in the video that you caught two in here in the whole time you've lived here so they do exist. Are you talking about Large Mouth Bass? I have never caught one either if that's what you were talking about.
I feel bad for that beautiful fish, don't jump all over me. What are you going to do? Those little ones, why don't you return them to their home? You're going home.
Back in the hospital watching!!! Got infection in the leg they took my vain from. Glad to be watching!!! Thanks for the small joys in life. Hope to be fishing next month! Man it’s been a long summer already, ha! Thank you again!
Minnesota opener tomorrow!!!! Can’t wait for the morning to get here!! Suns about around 530-ish… whoooooohooooo!!! Thanks for the vid man! Hope things are good!!
Its a neoprene scuba diving boot with a side zipper made by Mares. If you have a chance to get to a store that stocks them that would be best as you want the ones with the thickest sole, that coral and sharp lava flow rock out there is EVIL! They also won't save you from those thorns on the ground.
here's a couple links for the jigs and hooks you can marry up with the ripple shads, the weighted hooks with the twist locks are for 'weedless' applications, that sargassum weed gets pretty thick out there. Also is a link to boots similar if not the same as the ones I was and still using now(they lasted well) ptboprotackle.ca/products/owner-beast-weighted-twistlock www.cabelas.ca/product/77033/kalins-ultimate-saltwater-bullet-jig?productVariantId=224506&Google+Shopping+Free+Listings&gad_source=1&gclid=CjwKCAjwuJ2xBhA3EiwAMVjkVM5XNpwotuVDiq1WHGlhx_JxKcdiMoH0V_Mbq4bYtyad_8xJeW-NVBoCqgYQAvD_BwE www.mares.com/en_CA/trilastic-boots-20
Hi Simon! Great video!!! In you replies to subscribers under this video you mentioned that in this fishing episode you were using Berkley Ripple Shad on a 1/2 Swimsuit jig and said that 3.5” to 5” work best - pink, white, grey. I tried to look up what you had described as Swimsuit jig, but couldn’t find anything. Can you pls give me a more precise description of this type of jig and the brand? Thanks much in advance.
Awesome footage! Are you still in Antigua and do you take people fishing? Will be staying in Jolly Harbor next week and will only be bringing light travel rod, any recommendations for some shore based fishing? Don't have many lures so will probably be looking to use bait. Happy with smaller fish
I wish I was still there! I e not fished it before but inside Jolly Harbour has some big old tarpon, you might be able to get some small fish there too. I have a friend there who does guided days but not sure if your light set up would work, look up Captain Nick Antigua fly fishing.
I took the kids to check out the St Croix River, after church today. It sounded like a rolling thunderstorm with the cracking/popping, and the lazor sounds!!! Only about 5 inches left, on February 4th!!! 48 high today and low 50s the rest of the week!!! You guys make me jelly!!! Thanks for posting!!! Love this song too!!!
late May here can still be on the ice or pretty much ice out period and they are where they were all winter and feeding hard. I struggle when they start to stage for the spawn, but it’s a short period of about a week and a half at most before they start to show in spawning areas.
