Would be nice to know for which of the cameo series you are giving a tutorial. For instance the inset / registration marks are different for the old devices.
I have a 09 Infiniti M35. I had success getting one headlight finished without wrinkles. Why the other side is giving me fits, I don’t know, but as I’m working my way up with the squeegee from the flat part of headlight nearest the grill, the film wants to bunch up in the middle. Like a crease has formed before I lay it down on lens. I’m using a blow dryer. I ordered a heat gun hoping that I can flatten the crease out as I’m laying the tint down. I’ve gone through so much tint doing this one light, it’s driving me nuts. Of course this is not an easy light to put tint on the way it’s designed. Any other tips appreciated.

Perfect! Exactly what I was looking for. I have never wrapped before and my new garage cabinets were installed with too dark a melamine so I was thinking of wrapping them with a 3M wood grain. Question: If I don't want to wrap around the door can I just cut it flush - will it still bond ok and not begin to lift? Will I need to use that 3m primer glue pen you used to on the edges so I have a good bond. I have never used this so my fear is the the edges will start to peel up. Thank you! I wish I could find a professional like you to do this for me. I live in North Hill suburb of Pittsburgh, PA. Do you know anyone in this area that comes to people house to wrap cabinets? Thanks!!!

Do you recommend wrapping the door jams for this car? Will the paint be coming off after a few years? I have a red xse and want to change it to white or light brown color. Also, does it make sense to skip wrapping the black top part of the car if I want to keep it black or should I wrap black black so the overall paint wear is the same? Thank you!
In my opinion, not really. Although this vinyl is thick, it conforms to the shape of the surface it's applied, so depending on how deep the hail dents are, you'll likely still see those.
I know, right? It does make it easier and faster. I find it's good for making an "80%" there image and then tweak it as needed instead of starting from scratch.
Unfortunately, no. The frames we have wrapped have all been print vinyl that is part of an overall wall mural that the door is incorporated into. If you were to wrap the frames, I would do them in pieces.
In my state you have to be able to see the brake lights illuminate red or yellow from 100 feet away in daylight. Do you think the light peaking through the translucent lines meet this requirement?
I don't think I'd be able to answer that as there's too many factors at play...size of the housing, the bulb brightness, weather, etc. Definitely look into local laws if you do this, and as always, application of something like this is always at the owner's discretion and responsibility.
Yeah, sometimes the end result may not look as good as the envisioned result LOL! I think it looked better in the end, if nothing else, to cover up the very "worn" look of the surfaces covered.
Typically the vinyl is cut off and not wrapped underneath because the undersurface is usually an "unfinished" surface (such as particle board) that the vinyl will not stick to well. You certainly can wrap underneath, but the vinyl may not adhere well, or fall back down after some time.
Great video. What about matte carbon fiber vinyl. I'm trying to match the OEM Tesla Model Y Performance matte carbon with a vinyl. I can't seem to find anything even close. I want to wrap other trim and aero pieces to match. Any advice?
Thanks and thanks for watching. Matching factory to aftermarket can be tricky. My only advice is to order samples of different brands so you can see in person what may work best. Sometimes, it just may not be possible to get a perfect match, but there may be one that's "close enough."
It depends on the brands. Some brand's air egress is faster than others. Just make sure the vinyl has air egress, as some vinyls like craft or sign vinyl typically do not.
At least a couple years, depending on the environment. Manufacturer warranty is something like 3-5 years if I recall. But if you live in a harsh environment like Arizona and the vehicle is kept outside all the time, it's much, much less.

hi. before you offset on that first image you were working on, you can highlight it and go over to lines and pick the "invisible or black color" to get rid of those red lines in the image that the silhouette may read as cut lines
Mac's are good computers. I have PC, so I'm not too familiar with Mac's. However, I understand much of the functionality is essentially the same in Silhouette Studio. Some of the keyboard strokes or commands may be slightly different (like using the "Command" button plus a key in Mac, vs Ctrl button plus a key in PC), but from my understanding, the program user interface is pretty similar.
