Blackfriars Theatre is a mid-sized professional theatre that has entertained audiences since 1951 in downtown Rochester, New York. Our mission has been to provide the best possible showcase for actors and actresses, theater artists and technicians who have chosen to make Rochester their home. Many of our family have moved on to acting and technical roles in regional theatre, Broadway, movies and television - a testament to the training Blackfriars provides
Congratulations on the career move, Danny! Very happy for you, but the news has me feeling like I already miss you and all that you bring to Blackfriars. Glad to still have Mary on board, and looking forward to seeing who gets brought onto the team. Also looking forward to a great season of shows at the best theatre in town.
We just purchased our season subscription. I'm really looking forward to Spamalot and The Absolute Brightness of Leonard Pelkey. Danny's announcement came as a surprise and I'm still in shock. While he will be missed, I am excited for all those students that have the opportunity to learn from him.
dang! I have LIVED in Rochester NY for 47 years, loved Melanie's classics back in the 70's! i somehow managed to avoid being aware of this show in my city, despite being heavily involved with Rochester's folk community as one of its less competent vocalists and an ok percussionist and Turtle Hill Festival volunteer from mid 2015 to somewhere mid Covid and now live so far outside Rochester that it would take me 5 hours to walk there and 10 hours to get to a concert by a dear friend I expect to miss tonight - so events at Blackfriars? Nope! WHO is that amazing tenor who sings the role of the late husband and father of her musician children that this musical was written to honor?
Hi, I actually wanted to say that I really liked your content 😃 This is my friends channel, please listen to his music and watch his videos, after that You can decide whether You'll subscribe or not, he really deserve it: ru-vid.com/show-UCC3U2oGfbQD6uH3YNiqFVCw
Blackfriars Theatre's new series BT Couch Concert is exactly what we need right now. Thank you to the inspirational Andy Pratt, most talented musician anywhere and to Phillip Detrick, who can outdo Simon & Garfunkel anytime.
