As they say, never buy version 1. It is so true with serial 1. Not only that it was over priced to cash on brand name (but it was set up as separate entity), it was released half backed with complete disregards to already available features and hardware functionality of Brose display (which has Bluetooth and enviolo automatic (which has Bluetooth and many other features). None were actually connecting with smartphone and even with their own app “serial 1”. So what was serial 1 app, pretending to import google map, which itself is an app, and emailing to support? Why would the bike won’t sync with smartphone or company’s own app and not even with each other? How is it possible that such a big brand won’t do it which startups did. As of today, company is sold off, serial 1 app disappeared from smartphone, warranty Is over and you are on your own. Folks, If you have 3K to spare, budget to add 3K extra and go for entry level or used (that American corporate fashionably calls “Pre-owned) Reise and Muller. Or better buy non electric bike with Rholoff or Pinion hub, you may get one or DIY with Shocks.
They stated “Premium eBikes” but you’re screwed when parts are broken. There is no way you can find the replacement parts such as handlebar, fork, fenders, and battery on this bike. There are number of bike owners have been camped out at the local bike shop for months, all in vain. Customer service is TERRIBLE. There is NO way you can get a hold of them. I submitted an issue on their website 3 weeks ago but no response. Phone calls? Forget it. They encourage leaving voicemails, but it’s like shouting into the void.
Even now the app is not app or google pay store because they change the ceo of the company they will work with other company they have more experience in bike well the app will comeback soon
My dealer and I had to wait to replace my Brose unit increase and decrease stop working causing un excessiblity to the menu. The warrant took forever. So, I had to purchase another Brose from the dealer for $180 extra. What do I do for the lost? Serial 1 Cty owner

I have a problem setting the clock in BROSE-Display. I set my watch to the appropriate time and everything is fine. But when I turn BROSE-Display off and then turn it on, the watch changes to a different time. Why does this happen?

Just downloaded the newest Version of the App. There is nothing i can do, beside from calibration. No settings at all. Is that my fault or have they removed the features with the newer versions of the app?
@@felixc.827 Yes, I did. I used an Irwin clamp that I bought at Lowe's that fit from the battery top to underneath the bicycle frame. I tightened it slightly as to avoid cracking the plastic enclosure of the battery and was able to turn the key. I used a plastic wedge to ease the battery out. Then I added lubricant to the lock and other areas so the battery would come out easily from there on. It worked!
Careful....The short version is small enough for the Glovebox but too short to wrap it around the bike frame, the wheels and an anchored object. There is a longer version. The long version is perfect for the locking but too big for the Glovebox.
@@RonValentine-ky8viim sorry boy.... You are right. He is using the same lock for both scenes. But... When you have the Serial 1 STEP-THRU (the bike in the garage at the beginning) you shouldn't lock it like he showed. And even with his bike the back wheel isn't secured at all. So.... I stand by my point that the longer version would make way more sense to secure the bike and its wheels but it doesn't fit into the glove box.
I am a little confused with the torque value mentioned for the Rush/City rear wheel in this video, you clearly state 15NM yet the manual says 11NM and the supplied torque wrench only goes to 12NM. is it 15NM or is it 11NM?
@@raheemdot the biggest thing is to NOT go to your bluetooth and pair it yourself. Just use the app and pair it. If you unsuccessfully tried to pair it, unpair and delete it from your list. Beyond that.... i just followed the instructions.
Looking at a 2021 model on sale in my area. In addition to testing the various models of Serial 1 (and thank you Trev Deeley for allowing me the chance to go the distance and push the bikes a bit more than some dealers), I have ridden the R&M Nevo with the Enviolo AUTOMATiQ and it really spoils you when it is set up how you like it.
I can’t seem to get a definitive answer to if a 2021 serial 1 will connect to the app or not. Anyone know for certain if the will? Factory cadence is not good for me
A 2021 will not connect to the Serial 1 App, it is not set up for it. But a 2021 Rush CTY should connect to the Enviolo App, which is separate from the Serial 1 app. I bought a 2022 Mosh. @@kenphilipp9272
@bigdaddyben4210 funny story, not. But it turns out they won't pair with the app. It's a big software issue. And I don't think it'll ever be fixed, unfortunately..
Will Serial-1 make an upgrade kit so that the Gen 1 bikes are 100% compatible with the new app? I've read many reviews of upset Gen 1 owners who thought it their bikes would work with the new app...but sadly no.
I would say it would be quite difficult due to the wiring harnesses running inside the bars, not even sure if you have any extra cable for different shape bars. This is from what has been posted on other sites about Serial 1 bicycles. Hoping they are incorrect and that you don’t find it too difficult to swap out your handlebars. Wish you luck !!
I did this immediately after assembly. My breaks are still incredibly loud. May have been contaminated beforehand 😢 Theres a neat video on youtube that shows you how to clean the rotors with nail polish remover and sand paper.
Getting the Abus 6500 85CM into and out of the glove box is wayyy too cumbersome 🥲 its too snug. Maybe if I had a strap like the one he has on his lock in the video it would be a bit easier. Wonder where I'd get that
