Like everyone else in the comments I saw this and love it. Really appreciate your review. Now if only other dealers start carrying this at a discount off msrp… haha. Cmon Jomashop
@@FranklyOnTime I was about to pull the trigger on the 10% too! Ill just be a bit more patient to see if it might go on sale somewhere. Otherwise I need this lol. Thanks again!
37.5mm is probably the smallest watch Bulova has put the Precisionist movement in, which I love. However I have a sneaking feeling that they will release non square version later on.
I think it’s the right move for a cushion dial. The area of the dial is greater with the bigger corners so it ends up wearing larger than a similar sized round dial. My theory anyways.
This watch is awesome. I’m a huge quartz fan, so a smooth sweeping high accuracy (medium accuracy??) movement is very cool to me. The design is right up my alley. I’m a big fan of the glasshutte seventies date, and this has a lot of the same design language. My only gripe might be the water resistance. I really prefer 100m or up for all around wear, but this watch is so cool I can forgive that
Agree. It would be nice to see 50m water resistance as more of a standard. I was surprised to encounter the 30m rating on this and some other watches that have otherwise caught my eye.
Wow, the most beautiful new watch design I have seen in the longest time. Also love Bulova watches and their history of innovation. Butterfly clasp not my favourite bracelet fastening would be my only criticism.
Looks good, but not short change?? Water Resistant= zero, barely resistant to sweat it says on the website. For an almost $1000 watch?? When big watch companies do this I hate them almost to never buy from them out of spite. Because I know they could easily do it for that price. I mean even other Bulovas have 30M, 50M Water Resistant so you can at least wash your hands without some water drops killing it. For $150 dollar you can get a seiko or citizen thats 200M WR. You telling me you can't make this watch at least 30M WR? Its the main reason i haven't bought the Bulova Lunar Pilot thats amost 1k, but at least has some real world WR of 50m. For that price should be 100m. And don't get me started on the Omega Speedmaster. Basically they keep making the same watch, without actually improving its specs or WR for that luxury price.
@@FranklyOnTime If it was even 50M, or 100M it would be a Rolex Day-Date alternative and everyone would be calling it so. If it was 100M I would buy it. Would be like the PRX is an alternative to the Royal Oak or AP. Sorry I went of, this is a good looking watch, but could have been GREAT if Bulova gets their head out of their clouds, and start making their watches more WR for our modern times.
Loving this watch , im going to try one on before i pull the trigger just because of size but youve said it wears bigger so ill have to see,,cheers for the review.
Love this beautiful piece. It's really similar to the 1990-ish seiko 5s42-5A00. Both come with the smooth-sweeping second hand and a TV case dial. Really great to see a beautiful sweeping quartz watch on the market!
I liked the watch and the art on your table. Some good subjective qualitative impressions but at one point you said, I don't really know what to say and i was thinking: Crystal? Push pins? Half-links? Case back affixing? WR? Case thickness? I don't think you mean gold plated do you? Sorry to be pernickety but it's a nice watch, the visuals were good and your voice is good.
Bulova definitely has something unique with this movement. I could imagine a sale on it as Citizen does a lot of sales. I did use my 10% welcome code on it.
Love it! The TV case is something that's really caught my eye, and that Precisionist movement is nice! I have a 1972 Accuquartz that has that smooth sweep, it's really mesmerizing. I've handed it to a friend who's into watches and told him to check the sweep. It's so smooth, he didn't realize it was moving for a couple seconds.
Rolex knock-off? Sure, it has a fluted bezel and a cyclops, but the case and dial shape are totally different from Rolex, I think you're way off base on this.
Hey I have a question I am hopping you could answer: is this watch supposed to be able to measure my mile time? Or at least the millage of my runs? Thanks!
Both the case and bracelet are hardened through duratect platinum technology which uses actual platinum. It’s usually reserved for ‘the citizen’ collection as it adds cost. That why is more expensive than the regular line.
just got one sense they were having a 25% off sale. The strap is GREAT! lots of fun settings and its actually super responsive and fidgitty. I really like it! THX 4 posting these Vids! Your the only one with information about this watch, really helped! --- I messed with all the settings and calibrated the watch but it still says 1500 calories burned even though it says 0 steps... Cant find a way to reset calorie counter or is it auto reset every 24hrs?? THX Man!!!
Thanks for your comment! I am not sure about the calorie counter. I would guess it correlates with the step counter and thus resets each day. This is my running watch and I mainly just use the lap timer.
Of course I bought mine on a reverse sale, Citizen raised the price $35 for fathers day ($630 instead of $595) when I bought it. Oh well. Did yours come with an instruction manual? I only got a warranty book, and I've never seen one in a red tank like that.
I agree. Citizen does sales a lot too, so I’d bet this one will see a sale at some point. I wonder if this release hints at even more versions of the Fujitsubo down the line 🤔
I’ve been wearing Ironmans for over ten years now - I think timex is better quality than most casios- I mean you’ve got a watch that can be beaten and submerged like a gshock for half the price. I do wish timex designed more Ironmans ❤
I’ve really been enjoying this watch for workouts. I like a lot of their other designs like the Atlantis watch and, of course, any Snoopies 😃 Although I love my Mudman and Edifice watches too 👍
I totally get that. Tons of watches use mercedes hands though. Rolex also invented the date window, but it’s not anything to me that the same date function is on so many watches. If it helps, the Citizen hands are skeletonized whereas the same hands are not skeletonized on the Sub and Explorer.
I own blue version. I like it because its a true diver watch able to do be use at a real 200m deep during long time... . Not a 20 atm more eventually 25% static test of 5 minutes !
Agree. Way too much, at least when the same watch without the LE colors is almost half the cost. I am not into LE watches personally. I feel like I’d be afraid to wear them.
