I have so many issues with this unit. Leaking hose connections. Erratic spray from nozzle. Found filter dislodged and jammed in handle. The metal tangs clips on shoulder strap bend and you need to take care the straps dont detach when sling to your shoulder. VERY POOR build quality all round. I do not recommend this product. I have contacted Silvan via the website for refund - no reply.
Hi. We suggest a maximum of 10mtrs of hose. No longer otherwise the performance and life of the pump will be reduced. We also recommend cleaning the sprayer fully after each use.
Bad move on the s power ‘upgrade’, you removed an easily obtainable battery nd replaced it with a proprietary one. Why would anyone need the option of using the back pack sprayer when they have this? Silly as when I found this out I decided not to purchase one. Hoping so one still stocks the previous battery fitted one.
Have 2 of these units and they cannot keep a constant pressure. They always leave around 1-2 litres of product in the tank which is costly. What can be down to rectify this issue?
Hi Anthony. Thanks for the feedback. Please check that the bell-shaped suction pickup is flat on the bottom of the tank, ensuring it has the best chance of drawing up all the fluid. When you know you are at the last few litres of the tank, try your best to prevent the fluid sloshing about by staying upright and limiting movement. Leaning slightly towards the battery side of the tank will also give you the bast chance of utilising the tanks contents. For further advice please contact: support@silvanaust.com
@@Silvan_Spraying_Specialists Gee, does that actually answer the question that Anthony posted. "The Sprayer activates only once the trigger is squeezed." Do you mean the pump only runs when the trigger on the boom is squeezed, or is the pump running constantly?
How do I adjust the flat nozzle ? And what’s the leftover black thing do ? I can’t figure it out as there nothing in the instructions about it ? I think you should do an unboxing and assembly video before I go swap it for a solo lol
The TR13-B 13L Trolley sprayer is designed for the use of spraying agricultural chemicals, not commercial use such as carpet cleaning. You will need a sprayer that has Viton seals, otherwise the standard seals in any sprayer will fail. We do have a rechargeable sprayer - the 8L new Prograde pump zero. #190712 at RRP $225. Also, a pressure regulator allows a constant pressure of 2bar and a constant flow rate along the carpet. This will also assist. #181826 at $44.65.
Hi Glen, The pressure (psi) is not adjustable on the WP12-1 rechargeable knapsack However a range of nozzles is supplied with the sprayer to cater for different spray applications -An adjustable cone nozzle can be used as a general nozzle. It can be adjusted to a fine mist for insecticide applications of a coarse pattern for herbicide applications -A yellow fan jet can be used for general herbicide spraying -The blue nozzle is an air inducted herbicide nozzle to reduce drift. We also have available an optional spray shield that can be purchased for spraying around sensitive plants to prevent herbicide drift
Hi Shirley, The lid screws off just like unscrewing the lid of a jar. Click the handle into the guides on the top of the lid, keep the tank steady and then unscrew the lid. If this isn't working please email us at silvan.marketing@silvanaust.com with a photo of the lid.
Steven, We are sorry you are having problems with your Silvan spray unit. We have investigated your issue and it appears you have previously discussed with the Silvan team and the dealer you purchased the product from. We assume the resolution provided was suitable.
Don’t believe what Greg Everett from Silvan tells you about this unit it’s no good sucks air with 100 litres still in it turning corners on flat ground with Silvan boom. Shame on Silvan for selling products that don’t do what you’re told they do. Lies Lies don’t expect a refund or a response from Silvan. Buyers beware 🤥
Pity it dont have an agitator and a cover over the pump but overall i like it and i could make my own cover and get a plastc base for it to sit on so it dont wear out on metal. I Could use a long wooden spoon to kepp stiring it up now and then or a plunger type that lifts up and pushes down to stir it up.
I'm thiking of lookng into a unit like this to do treatments for broad leaf weeds pre emergants and soluble fertlizer treatments backpacks are heavy and lack battery life
