Just started doing guppies in my tank got one large sponge filter, and one dual sponge filter and I’m using a 50 gallon tank. My question is should I buy another sponge filter or will that be ok?
I love your tanks, they all look awesome. I want to start a tank and have lots of plant life. I was thinking of starting small with a 10 gallon tank, get about 10 neon tetras (I was originally thinking guppies but I don't want to get overran with babies) and add duckweed and guppy grass. I will use a small sponge filter and natural coloured gravel. What do you think, any other recommendations? Thanks for the content.
When I baught my Fish. I decided to buy all the fish from the same tank which is of Algae eater and Danios! they have beeen toghether for over a month! I think there doing great!
I have a golden CAE in my 55gal tank with my cichlids. No issues whatsoever. I can also guarantee you my cichlids are not afraid of him! I have never seen him try to attach to one of my fish.
lol they are NOT the same product 😅 Can’t believe I wasted time watching this, Fritz has so much more concentration per bottle it’s such a disservice to just blurt out shit you “think” is true.
I’m not new to fish keeping I have eight tanks of beta fish. I have a goldfish tank of two goldfish. I don’t remember what you call them to type when they have the growth on her head and they 45 gallon tank anything that would help keep them alive or happier faster, remove the pebbles to pond rock so they couldn’t swallow them. We get stuck in the gills high functioning filter for the ammonia levels.
Hi, I have no Idea what kind of goldfish we have... a neighbor we didn't know very well had to leave her apartment and just dropped the fish at our house... I hate fish, I can't stand them as an animal tht can touch me or as a food, but my husband and son gave me those puppy face and I gave in... So, we have this oxygen machine which doesn't work, and we have food, a bed of tiny pebbles and that's it... 2 of the fish are very small and the ither 3 are just small. We already have them for about 6 months. How can we take good care of them. Their tank is about 40cm on 30cm on let's say, 25cm ir more... We have changed their waters about twice abd added some more now, after the water evaporated. We got 2 of them with black eyes, well, one of them has only 1 blck eye and a regular one.
I used to rinse in the sink too, but no more. I don't wanna take the chance of killing too much beneficial bacteria. How come you don't wash in aquarium water just for safe keeping?? More convenient? I know there might be people who might rinse it too much.
I have two angelfish in a 10 gallon quarantine now, but I don't necessarily want more angelfish babies in there. Can I put a pictus catfish in there to eat the eggs if they DO have babies??
My son is set on getting a goldfish. I'm so glad we watched your video because now we know the common gold fish won't work in his newly set up 5 gallon tank. His question to you is: Is there a goldfish that would work in his small tank?
I have EcoComplete in my planted aquarium. It worked great from the start. I've had it in there for three year so far. Use with a co2 setup and flourish excell to control algae and and flourish advance for fertilizer.
You just used a piece of driftwood from outside ?? Because pet store selling them $35 not really trying to spend that much on driftwood wood do you think Home Depot is a better option ?? I’m in New York City
Thanks..just got my pea puffers today.. One did take a few bites out of one of the plants. Now I can use on eye dropper to feed them instead of a syringe. More control over the amount dispensed.
You said make sure you're feeding them enough... How many times a day do you feed them? My Dalmatian Molly was being aggressive to my black Molly so I separated them into different tanks. The Dalmatian went crazy and every day he's going up and down the glass swimming back and forth very fast. I'm going to buy two or three females to put in there with him. Do they have to be the same color or can it be any of the colored mollies?
😊hey bro.. can i use a blackskirt tetra male and cross with a electric green widow tetra female..? most important i ask is how .. i realy want more fish 😊
Wanting to put me some goldfish outside and some pots and I’m needing to know if I can put them in a number three wash tub it’s aluminum I think they’re made out of because I can’t find any cast-iron
I had a jack dempsey, tiger oscar and a albino oscar in 120 gallon tank and my Jack stressed out my oscars so bad i had to buy a 75 gallon tank so he stayed in a tank alone with plecos. he was very aggressive but calmed in a tank alone.
I can attest to the fact that I almost lost all hope having a planted tank. I didn’t realize it was just the substrate that was absolute trash. I will never buy that eco complete again.
Sorry to hear your bad experience with eco complete. I've been in the hobby for many years and have come to conclusion that eco complete is the best in the long run. Other substrate like Fluval Stratum or Amazonia work great initially but become mushy overtime and are just nightmare if you ever decide to re-aquascape. Many times you have to buy new substrate. On the other hand, Eco-complete are just larva rocks. It's not messy (the reason why i think it's the best). It can hold nutrition just as well as other substrate. I provide tons of surface area for beneficial bateria to grow on. And, it lasts a lifetime.
Growing plants in gravel substrate isn't as difficult as you are making out, yes in a low tech tank it's a balancing act finding the right balance of root plants that have long root base that spread out in the gravel and in my high-tech tank with co2 that particular tank after just a few weeks the plants are doing fantastic, so get rooted plants that chain link as they grow, weight them down to help them get established quickly and try ukaps it's a great site I'm just a member so I'm not trying to push it for any other reason than you will find a ton of help with any planted aquarium
Thanks for this info I really never knew and just made my research after I bought this two guys, common goldfish from a lady after seeing them cramped on a pet shop aquarium from school..dang
😂today i added a golden silvertip tetra male to my silver dollar tank to split him from females he will screw wales if they let him😂 so i hope the ladies get some rest he is killing them chasing and chasing he is a good breeder but a bad fish
