The biggest elephant in the room with LR from like 2005 or so until like 2020 is the bad design of the Ford Peugeot 2.7 and 3.0 V6 diesel with many many crankshafts just snapping due to either oil starvation or worn bearings. Even though it’s kept the service schedule. I read about this happening most on the Discovery’s maybe due to extra weight and load on the tow bar. The V8 diesels and petrols are better I think.
We had a 2017 Evoque and we loved it! We stupidly decided to change it for a new Excel LX! Absolute disaster! So we changed it for a used Epace 240D ! Brilliant car... Here in Russia, roads are .. Tracks.... Literally and snow and ice for 5 months aren't easy! It's a pleasure to drive it and the fuel economy is unbelievable!
Best review on here, picking mine up Saturday and you covered more info than all the other reviews combined. (It came up on my for you feed, so I presume it not having "grand sport" in the title hid it from my search when i was looking at all the others when searching) good job 👍
Thanks mate, that was really useful for me as I’m looking at these cars just now, better to hear from a guy who knows them as a driver rather than a salesman.
I'm leaving London today at 6am to go to Bradford to get a Range Rover Sport I wish you guys had one to do a review on, very good real life review better than some "experts"
Got one. This week. Omg guys it’s next level. Joe Achilles got a comparison with the x3 m and funny enough the m40i has more torque through the gears. So more usable power. I’m so happy with the thing I don’t think I’m ever getting rid of it lol
Nice video review man! I bought a 2014 RR Sport at 80.5K miles with full JLR service history, got a warranty wise cover for it because an extended Land Rover warranty would have cost me £1.4K….warranty wise cost less, I got it and so far I’ve had no issues with the suv. I Upgraded the wheels to 21’ inches black SVR tyres & wheels
@@mrdlewis22 I used the RR Sport for 1.6 years, sold it and bought a 2016 RR Vogue from a private seller on Facebook. Did all the checks on the car…service history, owner checks etc …. No issue at all. I’m enjoying my second Range Rover. Service history is what matters.
Title is a bit confusing but it could just be me. I came here because I’m in the market for a 2014 w/ high miles and I wanted to educate myself on what mechanical headaches (if any) that I needed to look forward to if/when I decide to purchase. What I got was a Motor Trend/Car & Driver type review. What I wanted was things to be aware of: engine failure, suspension replacement costs, oil leaks, and such.
This car has the new engine which is a 1.954 (2 litre engine) which is an improvement on the old 2.1 litre diseal meeting emission rules also has bluetec and has 194 bhp which is as fast as the old 250d. and is in the new face lift 2021 version the wood is real open. Pore Ash too.. just letting you know
I wish I could still run my range rover 200000 miles more That confidence! I also had bmw X5. Prier but it was terrible. Always broke it lead about double its cost for maintaining 3 years But omg discovery shines And pitty cheap to maintain
I have 2019 discovery and it have already been 250000 km or roughly 160000 miles And though living in India and kind of dealing with rugged roads it is excellent. Never broke down. Only needed oil changes and general service. The screen never broke down. Millage is pitty nice for 2.5 tonne.and still progressive. Air suspension are still good . The new land rovers are good
Because TATA owns it unlike Germany company which only keep it as side product but TATA now give land rover its own money management department for all profit and loss accounting that why
