Update: 010 shall be rebuilt sometime in the next 1-5 months and will be returned later this year or early next year sadly 011 might have to wait longer.
-2 is for the EMD being built in 1972 that went from bus bar and relay electrical system to solid state electr onics. A -3 is a -2 or dash two thats been brought up to plc controllers. Its SD70 Mac or Ace, not -2.
My special needs son really likes the lift bridge and the FL9's, he thinks F Units like those are highly underrated locomotives and all should be preserved, restored, and put back into service pulling passengers and freight. He also thinks that Siemens, Progress Rail, or any other company that builds railroad equipment should build full size working replicas of FL9's with modern features like recycled ♻️ aluminum bodies and chassis, Plexiglas or safety glass windows 🪟, Cummins, Caterpillar, or Genset diesel motors with mufflers and catalytic converters that run on biodiesel or renewable diesel, LED headlights, ditch lights, taillights, strobe light, rechargeable batteries 🔋for the electrical systems, ac traction motors, and alternator.
