Auh the infamous sandwich interview. What's funny is Mike was recently interviewed and the interviewer asked Mike what kind of sandwich he was eating during this interview and Mike laughed and said "shit that was so long ago I don't know".
For some reason he represents the cynicism of generation X for me at that point in his life. A guy that is definetly smart, but chooses to hide behind his sarcasm because it's easier. Who is shallow on purpose.
Bro, chew your food, your digestion must be terrible. Also, I'm glad he fixed his grill, those fronts are jacked. Oh and he's one of my favorite vocalists.
I don't like Mike Patton but after this interview I like him infinetly less. I've never seen such a vacuum of knowledge and extreme condescending attitude that's full of insecurities. It's so lame, pathetic and childish. Never made a song that stood the test of time and thought he was way ahead of the curb when he wasn't even in the race.
People often say Bill Gates & Jeff Bezos’s legacy should be to financially save the world, this will be nothing compared to Mike Patton finally revealing what was in that sandwich
He's actually a genius, eating the sandwich because he knew this interview would be clipped up in the future and it gives us a rough timeline to find where he said what clip we saw.
In my opinion he is an incredible musican but he does not seem like a nice person at all. He always seems to have so little respect for other artists, crowds or interviewers and takes himself wayy to seriously. Still enjoying Mr. Bungle and Faith No More, etc. but I can't act like this guy is just "sarcastic" or "clever" by the way he treats other people.
i get similar sort of vibe from him, but im not sure if his attitude towards other artists and that whole world is necessarily representative of whether he’s a “nice person” or not (sorry if that’s dehumanizing celebrities, but just how i see it) it’s just his way of doing things i suppose. i feel like patton would be against dumbasses letting their entire worldviews be shaped by what one artist says anyway, so i wouldn’t look too far into his opinion being anything other than a surface level perception of the stuff he hears. i doubt he thinks of himself as a brilliant, sarcastic genius like his fandom does.
"Computers to take it to a new level . . . People are the worst. . . It's the worst thing about music is that people play it" . Yeah Mike Patton has a musical and probably a cultural prophetic gene somewhere in his mind or his being.
He was a mad lad at the time. He was not into just selling out. He wanted the hits but also wanted to create different types of music. He did just that in the end. angel dust was a drug in the 90s. Its was like smoking LSD. if you didn't know what it meant. now you know. This album was a low key a master piece and still can be listen to today. you wouldn't know what year it came from if you just picked a random song off the album. All music lovers and metal heads need to give it at least 1 listen.
