Heh, I remember the first time I beat Kuja, I was telling Keab42 that I couldn't beat this guy, and then promptly did by accident, then got my arse handed to me by Necron. Good times.
For the Hot & Cold, I’m pretty sure the turbo speed doesn’t affect the timer, so you can change Choco into an industrial digger. It’s so effective that there’s a bonus mercy rule; if you find too many items too quickly, the Moogle pays you extra points to stop. 😅
In hindsight, I suppose it says something that I never picked up on the depression angle on the first playthrough. Maybe I was too busy being depressed to see it as weird? Also, it amuses me that you’ve said “Refining skills are important/good” for basically every one you’ve picked up, but used none of them aside from STONKS. 😅
Fun to hear all your rankings in the end. For me 7 is in the top of all FF games in all those categories. Remake would win gameplay though. For me and milions of other people the story, characters, villans, world and soundtracks are the best in gaming. ❤ I also think the grafics has not aged bad at all except for on the world map. The character models has so much charm and the backgrounds are masterpieces.
Wondering if you have a reason to use one half of the “Tifa Orbital Cannon” setup but not both? With the Powersoul equipped, it gets *absurd*. Either way, enjoying seeing you enjoy the game!
All this about the science not being what we can understand is explained in S4 (I Shrink therefore I am) by Rygel. Sikozu: Don't you see? No. No! This isn't happening because it is not possible Rygel: Your brain isn't functioning. Do you think this is all just a hallucination? Do you like that explanation better, hmm?Sikozu: No, but I simply cannot comprehend- Rygel: Neither can I. Who cares? We're here, they did it, and that's that. You consider yourself intelligent? Sikozu: Yes, I do. Rygel: Then stop behaving like a child. Sikozu: I am not a child! Rygel: No, you're an infant! You've studied but you haven't experienced. You know nothing of life! Sikozu: And you do? Rygel: I've been around long enough to know how ignorant I am. I don't assume the universe obeys my preconceptions. Huh! But I know a frelling fact when it hits me in the face
when you said, "god he looks amazing." I couldnt agree more, definetley one of my favourite farscape episodes, Namtar looks so creepily awesome, one of my fav alien creations they did.
The problem with this episode is that it was too much like the original Star Trek, including looking very low budget. The costumes were goofy, the guests looked uncomfortable. It just didn't work. It's a shame because the message is pretty good... it's a shot at religion and that gods are fake. At least, that's what I took away from it.
Thanks for doing this Farscape Rewatch series. I will be listening to all of them. Something to do while passing the time at work! Hope you follow through with all four seasons and the movie.
+brigham2250 Awesome! And yes, the plan is to go through everything including Peacekeeper Wars. You can now get the Podcast with RSS and MP3 downloads from my website, too. www.cantwearhats.co.uk/category/farscape/ :)
I agree, it is a seed to a lot of future plot, even if it was a "this is all a dream" episode. Still, there is a ton of character development, easily 4 out of 5!
The Stargate episode you were looking for was "A Matter of Time". "38 Minutes" was the Atlantis episode where a puddle jumper gets stuck halfway through a gate.
This episode was my introduction to the show on it's original run on channel nine in Australia. Convinced me to keep watching to work out just what the heck was going on with this wacky show.
Also, I suspect that most of the population have a pretty blurry sensation of time passing, given the perpetual party and work thing and drugs to wipe short term memory that was going on.
