Well, through the power of creative editing, I left out the part where we fired a HARM on our own destroyers, and didn't show John slamming into the back of me after he landed, taking out my left engine and killing his pilot. So, it was pretty on par with our abilities.
The painting used as the thumbnail is REALLY bad in terms of perspective. The viewpoint is basically at a person's head height. The field of view is pretty wide, and the horizon line cuts through roughly the middle of the train (or, again, at roughly head height.) The planes are barely higher than the train's stack, or within a wingspan of the ground. But here's the important part. Extend the plane's longitudinal axis backward, and note how it points WELL ABOVE the horizon line. My estimate is that the planes have something like a 20 degree nose-down pitch attitude. Within a wingspan of the ground! In the real world the planes will unavoidably strike the ground within two tenths of a second after such a snapshot as this. This looks like the melding of two completely different illustrations. If this were representative of a survivable run, we should very clearly have the bellies presented to view, putting at least the plane's longitudinal axis about level with the horizon--not some 20 degrees nose-down. If this is indeed the intended illustration by the artist, it should be back to school for him, to learn perspective. ;)
I always just assumed that it was because they are more common on late ware servers where 109's and 190's are stacked with cannon. Getting bounced by Tempests and Typhoons has the same result.
Yeah, late war German fighters are being built to take down 4 engine bombers, and yet people are surprised when they get blasted in one pass by a German fighter.
A fantasy flight eh? The good? Gorgeous P-38's. The bad? Everything else. Unless we're not counting reality. Was that Barney and his friends flying the Messerschmidt's?
I call BS on this video. Total BS. No P38 is going to do 90 plus degree turns and catch a 262. Shoot down his wingman and the other will fly strait as if nothing else happened or no other plans were in the sky while we watch P38s dance all through this video.
This didn't take away my respect for this beauties. It increased it making the me 262 seem like a misunderstood underrated very capable aircraft that allies where afraid of so talks shit about it. I mean just look at it! How can you compare let alone bring a p38 even close to that thing! The me 262 was well ahead of it's time in styling and technology. Some aliied people are jealous that they didn't have that technology. I would look at the me 262 and never be bored with it but the p 38? Nah ! I like p51 mustang better.
The Germans didn't even try.... Just kidding! This video should be titled EDITED A ME 262'S BODT TO A PZL P-23a/b karas , A PIECE OF SHIT NICKNAMED AS AN AIRCRAFT
What bullshit ! You gamers change history as it would happen . They would have dropped the bombs , made no evasive turns , a sped straight away . In the late stages of the war they wouldn't waste pilots or ordnance like that .
Only in the game would Me 262 allow himself to be shot like that, in fact it would be the other way around. No one could then catch up or run away from Me 262.
I would like you to tell that to my dad that was a p-38 recon pilot. When I was on a mission taking recon pictures in his p-38 saw one getting ready to take off to intercept him that you can't out run one. There jet couldn't stay in the air that long and by the time they could catch up the jet would have to turn back in order to make it back to there base. Given my dad's p-38 was lighter and faster than the fighter version of the p-38 because he only had cameras switcher are a lot lighter than having guns and the ammo.
