Can I ask if the chanter is Bb or maybe even key of A? I have just acquired one myself and find it plays Bb with a modern reed in and plays A 440 with a Bb reed in. What reed are you using? Thanks and sounding good btw
Its a great medley. Tight, well pointed playing throughout the performance. No doubt the intense heat and sunlight was impacting the tone a bit, and possibly the blowing, which should be noted for all bands on the day. Very enjoyable performance.
after listening to both bands - from different angles on different videos, I'm kind of surprised Frasers took 1st. It's a real shame, more Grade 1 bands don't compete. This truly is an epic event in our hemisphere.
