love this pattern, but one issue... one side keeps getting shorter and I cannot figure it out for the life of me!! I am only a beginner as well. I keep going back to where you talk about the final crochet in the turning chain and I thought i was doing it but apperently I am still doing something wrong! Anyone help please?

So I felt really stupid and didn't know what chain one space was... Had to watch other videos to catch on.... It looked like I'm row three, you skipped the first space and went to the second, is that correct? And do you always skip the next one or do you go in the direct next space? Thanks😢
