I have the hd (jb7) calipers with these brackets on the 14 bolt on my 88-98 chevy. Mounted per instructions, the backside of the calipers appear to be able to hit the leaf springs as the pads wear down. Do you know if the non hd (jb6) calipers provide more clearance?
+Joe Stenny No it will not. Take a look at the weld on style www.ruffstuffspecialties.com/catalog/Weldon.html You will need to buy a 6 lug rotor that fits over your wheel flange/shaft. The thickness of the rotor where the caliper presses is about 1.25" and the diameter will need to be 12.5"
I'm guessing SRW stands for single rear wheel? I have a rear end I'm not sure if it was a dually or not is there any way to tell? And will this kit work if it was a dually?
+Nick Brunelle Yes SRW stands for single rear wheel. The way to tell is the single rear wheel brake flange is a lot closer to the outside of the axle or closer to the rotor. Here is a quick link to both of them www.pnw4x4s.com/forum/index.php?topic=2429.0
It will fit almost every steel rim but will not fit a 15" aluminium because are thicker. From the top of the axle tube to the outside of the caliper measures about 6 3/4".
