“Travel is fatal to prejudice, bigotry, and narrow-mindedness, and many of our people need it sorely on these accounts. Broad, wholesome, charitable views of men and things cannot be acquired by vegetating in one little corner of the earth all one's lifetime.”
-- Mark Twain, "The Innocents Abroad"
This is a testament to the power of travel to broaden one's perspectives and understand the world.

From exotic delicacies to everyday eats, we try to take you on a culinary journey around the world. So, join us and let's explore the world, one bite at a time.
The Moors who took over Spain primarily came from North Africa, specifically the region that includes present-day Morocco, Algeria, and Tunisia. They were largely composed of Berber and Arab groups. When the Moors invaded the Iberian Peninsula in the early 8th century, the majority of them were of Berber descent from the Maghreb, which is the western part of North Africa. After the initial conquests, many Arabs also settled in the region, further influencing the culture and demographics of the area. So, we know that culturally, they were Arabic, but they did come mostly from North Africa.
El Arepon is just outside the back gate of Offutt AFB in Bellevue, NE (near Omaha.) I showed the owner your RU-vid and told him I wanted the same meal. He was cheerful and friendly, plus I enjoyed the meal. Thanks,
You’re right-nothing says “gourmet” like a meal that doesn’t come with a side of cardboard! We’ll keep that in mind for next time! Actually, this is a very "local" place, so it's not very fancy, but the food is very good. 😉
I love that they are showcasing Omaha, but the question "is the Tomahawk a ribeye" was the dumbest thing I've ever heard. No, dude, it's a sirloin 🤪🤪. Of course it's a Ribeye. Its a gigantic Ribeye on an 18 inch rib. Other than that. I loved the video. In my opinion, a steak house near Omaha called "Round the bend" is the absolute best in the area.
A sirloin, you say? You must have a PhD in beefology! Thanks for the insight-I'll be sure to give "Round the Bend" a visit and maybe take notes for the next steak showdown!
The trick to manapua is the buns. I been trying to nake them for YEARS and could NEVER get the buns soft and fluffy as ones you can buy. I also tried baked, which came out better but, still doughy😅.
Right? It's like the town decided to put on its best outfit and say, "Look at me, I'm fabulous!" It was so much fun to wander around. And we had some great bibimbap before doing this (as shown in a prior video).
Ah, the age-old question: what does the taste of culinary magic feel like? Spoiler alert: it’s a delicious journey for which your taste buds will thank you!
See? That's why we travel. To show the locals where to eat. 😉Ah, the beauty of discovery! Next time, we’ll make a road trip to explore more places you’ve never heard of!
It was so much fun (especially the massage chair)! I don't think we ever tried the Japanese Costco in Hawaii, but we'll be back to Oahu in November -- a good chance to try that!
Awesome place and the food is so good. The seafood is so fresh!I drive 4 and a half hours just to go there and eat the Lobster Roll and the Seafood Tower.I love Neptune
It depends on the particular place. Most places will give a free pintxo with drinks if you do not order any food. But the free pintxo is usually a few slices of chorizo, or some cheese, or something else small. For the more substantial pintxos, like we have in this video, you usually buy them. They are not usually very expensive, though. Usually a couple of Euros for a plate. But the free pintxos are usually available if you order only drinks, just don't expect anything too elaborate.
A little late to the game but thank you for this video! My husband and I are hoping to get an early October reservation this year to celebrate my 50th - keep your fingers crossed for us! 🎉
Food has always been good. Service is good. Parking is terrible. Prices are a little high, but the do give a lots of food. They have really good breakfast.
Sounds like a delicious trade-off: great food and service for a little parking gymnastics! Just think of it as your evening workout before that hearty dinner!
True, if it's right next to Offutt AFB, but folks will know Omaha a lot more. It's pretty much attached to Omaha to the south and is considered part of the whole Metro area. It would be like saying something is actually in Papillion, technically correct but most outside the region would just say it's in Omaha.
Lived Omaha my whole life, ( Omaha Steaks mail order company steaks are horrible) please don’t compare them to steaks you get in restaurants in omaha they are totally different categories. The Drover is amazing , so is the 801 Chop house, flemmings, Spencer’s, and if you really want a good T- bone Johnnys in south omaha on L street has great ones.
"Comparing Omaha Steaks to local joints is like comparing a toaster to a gourmet kitchen-both serve a purpose, but only one is a culinary masterpiece!"
