One of the Gran changes was actually already spotted in a clip the official GBVS twitter account posted in early July, that looked like an additional bar under his Skybound gauge. Most likely something to track the level of charge on his U. I'm fairly confident that it will be more than Gran and Lucilius though (no idea though why they specifically named dropped the two of them) as their post prior to the Bea nerf patch mentioned that 1.50 would "bring major balance adjustments for the entire roster as previously announced along with other potential gameplay changes." But still, fingers crossed we don't get burnt.
I've been experimenting with U slow kill set up, I figured out you can do the same U slow kill combo if you hit confirm off the first hit of the auto combo without them being crouching. it goes an equal distance. notation: c.X 2[8]U 2U 214H-M f.H 4[6]H 2H 623H Note: the first hit must be close, not from a distance. most likely used in stagger pressure of a c.L update: you can also c.X 2[8]U 2U 214H-M f.H 4[6]H f.M 623U update: CH c.HH 2[8]U 2U 214H-M f.H 4[6]H f.M 623U
man i've been trying to do that fuzzy setup for while but couldn't find the timing myself, nice video brother (i'm stealing that guard button tech too)
the U slow kill combo you showed was actually quite useful to me. I've been needing a set up that could fundamentally replace mid screen combo on crouching so I didn't have to go into DP loops. I really do love my corner carry, but sheesh. corner carry and set up!!!
Always appreciate new tech for our boy, thanks! With the major balance patch on the horizon, and hopefully people will be able to share clips of the 1.50 demo that will be available at Evo, I hope he gets even better or new tools.
Hey Angeal, love your stuff. . . Just wanted to say GGs for the matches against my Eustace. 1:13:06 (ok maybe not just GGs) not to be a fan boy, but I have to thank you for representing Eustace's. I would watch you through those boring college days, and study everything I could find relating to Eustace. I may be new to master's with Eustace, but you helped me there. Thank you. . . also shout out to Subark, Lord Cruxis, and the various other Eustace's for providing all those lovely combo-routes.
Thx fam, glad i was able to help u get into masters with the eustace tech and also get u through some boring classes aswell to means a lot your eustace is looking clean to btw👑
thank you master eustace bro, i am picking him up and i got him to s rank by randomly eustacing all over baby A ranks who'd never seen eustace before. my new goal is to learn the dp loops cause it looks cool. i will sub and watch all your videos \o/
I gotta gush, because this character is too dang cool haha I labbed the 2L 2L 5L H-SlowKill combo you told me about in your other video, went to THIS video to get some better ideas for some other stuff after I was done, and got to 4:23. This is the exact combo I ended up with just by trying to find what worked best, figured it seemed pretty good and useful, but then you go ahead and immediately demonstrate that it also can have a safejump at the end. Awesome reference. Keep on fighting that good Eustace fight. :)
I'm having a bit of a rough time learning Eustace (his combo routing is confusing to me but I'm slowly figuring him out), and your videos are a godsend. Thank you for uploading and making your guides! :) I did notice that you usually pop your opponent into the air with Raging Strike-Raging-Chain in order to get a H-attack into H-grenade link at the end of a combo. Is RSRC the best way to do it consistently? I have a funny feeling I just don't use it enough. Also, do you have any suggestions for getting H Slow Kill to land mid-combo consistently? It usually ends up either going under my opponent, or they recover before I can do anything after it, but you seem to land it all the time. I might just need to lab it more, but should I be pressing any particular button before I do H Slow Kill to make it just...hit?
If i start my route with auto combo i go for the raging strike link into h.grenade setup. as for the h slowkill link what you wanna do is c.l,c.l,5.l into slowkill and it should link everytime and dont be afraid to use easy inputs.
I'm new with Eustace and I don't really understand Eustace's combos, why when I go to practice his combos, there are combos that work if I put the dummy in "no guard" but don't work when I put it in "guard after first hit" for example ?
yo I got a quick question for ya, I'm currently attempting to steal you're sick 5h into close combat tech but when I use the U follow up connecting the 2M after is inconsistent and it looks like they can block it if they use a 5L. any advice?
Thanks for the learning material! If you don't mind me asking, in anticipation of the looming balance patch, what changes, whether reasonable or ridiculous it doesn't matter, would you like to see for Eustace? Nearly every other character is so popular, finding opinions on them is almost too easy but for a more underplayed character like him, I'm curious what one of the few top Eustace players thinks.
So off thentop of my head the 2 changes i want the most personlly are 1- make 214m confrimable off max distance far 5m. (Sometimes 214m wont conect depending on distance 2- make ult grenade stay on block similar to ferry super but unlike hers make it go away on hit. This change would be so cool imo
Damn if I stayed a little longer I would of seen the moment. Congrats dude! Nicely done. As the greatest number one Eustace in EU (Allegedly) I approve of your ranking.
Oh shit I didn’t know I was on Tv I will say it’s rare to run into estucse. I think we ended up running into each other quite a few times more anyways the games were fun so Ggs
Nice stuff. One thing I'm wondering is what's best as a mid screen combo ender. The DP or flare. You're +1 with flare and if you do it after a auto combo you're close enough for close medium and if they mash anything you'll beat it.
Very informative video. As someone who has mostly only played grapplers in past FGs (and even then I have only really gotten into the genre 3 years ago or so), Eustace was my first foray into a completely different playstyle and it's great to have actual insight into a top level Eustace player's mindset and decision making during a match. If you don't mind me asking, would you consider making a video about matchup specific tips and tricks? Somewhat building unto your end commentary in this video when you were talking about Eustace's matchups, just some things to watch out, to avoid or even weaknesses to exploit against specific characters? Either way, thanks for the multiple videos you have posted recently. I keep coming back to them every so often to learn something new.
going from a grappler to zoner/charge character can be kinda jarring but im glad your giving him a shot.as for going into more matchup specific tips and tricks it can be diffilcult to go over every interaction in the spur of the moment but im working on making a match up tierlist for him soon that can hopefully answer your questions more better if not try hiting me up on discord or twitter
