This playthrough makes me so angry. You failed exactly one test, and pulled 8 Elder Signs, zero Autofails, got zero poison, zero trauma, zero Yig's Fury, 8 and 10xp, what the hell. We started TFA too, let's see what we got after the first scenario. 1xp, 2 and 3 new trauma, 1 yig's fury, spend all medicine on our poisons, got 6 Ancient Evils, so we didn't even see Act 3. I mean.. nice video dude, good job, but you must be the luckiest man on this planet
Really glad to see you back! Been catching up on your TCU reviews with QuickLearner but have missed the live playthrough action. How are you liking Hemlock Vale? Think you’d do a vid going over your thoughts? I have to decide between getting that or Dream Eaters next.
Thanks for watching! I'm liking Hemlock Vale a lot! It still feels open world if you liked that from Scarlet Keys, but much more structured so it doesn't feel overwhelming. I will say, some of the hardest scenarios I've played have been in Hemlock Vale, which is interesting! I still need to play it a few times to give my thoughts, but I'm already excited to replay it, so hopefully that's a good sign.
Since insmouth hasn’t been repackaged yet, I haven’t gotten around to getting it. Do you think the bless/curse cards in this cycle are really viable without the insmouth player cards?
My group is playing without Innsmouth, and so far they seem pretty alright! I think Innsmouth + Hemlock is for sure getting the "full" potential, nut I think Hemlock stands on its own well enough
32:50 I'd argue it's good in innsmouth just because massive enemies dont engage. I might be wrong, but that alone makes it more of a teck card than anything.
This video uses Necronomicon as an example to your question whether you can trigger it ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-yP-Kk7rulsE.htmlsi=oOQt9BFaDYP-R_pg&t=246 TLDR it's not a treachery so you can't
You played an extra action for Daisy on the first turn. Also, Agenda 2 says "each Humanoid enemy", so the first neophyte is dead. Also, Watcher's Grasp totally triggers the agenda, so another neophyte is dead, and Joseph too.
Evading the witches would've been difficult for both Leo and Daisy. One round of damage was strong, especially fighting through that never ending supply of treachery cards.
They just included the minimum amount of cards so that only the Core is the only other pack necessary to play that content. Giving players premade "decks" for the prologue investigators wasn't really their concern.
@@superfeng99 weird, I'd expect them to allow for any route, independent of buying the investigator expansion, that's kind of weird that if you didn't buy it you're limited to one route
@@Butthead90 Accepting your fate doesn't require you to have those cards, it even says, that if those cards are not available, to skip adding them. So you can still choose that option, you just won't add the cards you don't have.
@@superfeng99 I kinda figured out that line was for the off case the two investigators got two of the cards in their deck (avoiding spoilers), but I guess it's ok (even though getting those cards is more of a burden than a boon, that's why I usually reject). Anyways, it's fine and understandable, can cause confusion.
The whole 49:00 sequence is illegal. True understanding triggers at ST.6 Determine success/failure of skill test. And the location appears at ST.7 Apply skill test results.
True Understanding, like (nearly) all skill cards, resolves in ST.7. You might be confusing them with Fast events or reactions which trigger immediately when their condition is fulfilled, like Rabbit's Foot or Look What I Found.
Thanks for watching! I got them from a seller on Etsy called MomoMonsterCo! Here's a link: www.etsy.com/shop/MomoMonsterCo?ref=shop-header-name&listing_id=962163384
Thanks for going the Alejandro route and for reading it out! I've never seen it. Doing a replay myself and once again couldn't bring myself to kill Ichtaca.
Dayana is the most autoincluded mystic ally in my group ever. You attach either Deny (5) or Ward (5) to her and the game stops fighting back. Track shoes are great for forcing a test when you need one to get your engine, like drawing thin etc
