So these are the settings I used for the benchmark: (It only shows 3GB vram but my RX 6600 has 8GB, I don't really know why rome 2 does that. EXTREME 0:00 ULTRA 2:30 VERY HIGH 4:58 HIGH 7:25 MEDIUM 9:53 LOW 12:25
Thanks bro you saved me! Didnt play med 2 for about 10+ years and total war in general. Watched some vids on youtube and get to know in what shape the game is today. Decided to buy and made a mistake by launching it through shortcut, I panicked seeing the dlcs missing. Also you kept it short and simple which is glorious, best ragards.
The cutscenes are almost like the old game but just with their faces properly animated and some movements, it's still not the fully animated cutscenes that they promised tho.
I wish the game's launch was not so bad! I really liked the original Warcraft 3 and kind of enjoyed the Reforged version, until it bit the dust from all the negatives. Was checking to see if it was worth revisiting. Nice vid! p.s. You might want to make your mic not only play in my right ear :)
If you want to do it without using Steam, it's pretty simple. 1. Find the exe file to medieval 2 in your game's folder. Create a shortcut of it. 2. Right-click on the shortcut and select properties. 3. In the Target field, add a single space at the end, then type this: --features.mod=mods/teutonic 4. Click apply, then OK. 5. Rename the shortcut itself to whatever you want (ideally something you'll recognize, like medieval 2 teutonic, in the above example). 6. Repeat this process for all the others, replacing teutonic with the names of the other mods (americas, british_isles, and crusades). 7. Use whichever of the four new shortcuts you just created to launch the game. Hope that helps!
@@xshandy5812 A gap in between the original target location and what I told you to write. In other words, it should look like this: "(Location of your game)\medieval2.exe" --features.mod=mods/teutonic Note the space in between the " and the --. That's what I'm referring to.
Thanks a lot for the video, with the new steam UI this is the only way to access the DLC because there aren't any shortcuts, not even on the game folders.
