Thank you for the translation!!! And also huge kudos on the whole amaSeung-Gil bit. Hilarious. I don't really get how it works in Japanese although now am better informed of how versatile yabai is, but dang it works perfectly in English.
It took me a while, but I think at the beginning Victor was referring to something that concerns about Daji and her Deer Palace Pavilion, which features "Lake of Wine and Forest of Meat"
Hi! Would it possible to use your translation of this for an animatic given the proper credit? It’d be really cool to talk to you about using it on instagram if you don’t mind :O

4:44 to be fair, Zeke was the most sane character he voiced, he wasn't a pervert and wasn't weird lmao he was just cool like Joe. I love his Zeke roars too when he transform into a titan, peak acting.
Langa did actually have some blame on the fallout. Not only he didn't notice Reki being down (even his voice was lifeless) when he welcomed him outside his house, he didn't even ask Reki if everything was ok because he wasn't answering his phone but also approached poorly the ADAM topic fully knowing how Reki felt about it hence his earlier curt response (Langa might be clueless but he saw Reki spacing out the day before too and suddenly his absence to go to S). As an audience we see Reki gripping his board as soon as Langa mentions him and the tournament. Also when it narrows down to the promise and basically his word after Langa's beef with ADAM, Reki also meant about being careful and ADAM doesn't equal safety just plain fear, injuries and inevitable assault, Reki knows from experiece as the skaters who ADAM previously beefed with. The only reason why Langa was able to race with him at the same level was becase he saw how he assaulted Riki and Reki himself went out of his way helping Langa to be prepared for his beef since he wasn't listening reason and I'm not discrediting Langa's ability to quick thinking and able to adapt but without Reki's help Langa would've encountered more than one problem considering how ADAM was skating with him. Langa also made a point that skating with ADAM was exciting. Of course Reki didn't take this lightly, he must've felt betrayed and hurt because Langa said ADAM was fun, exciting and an amazing skater (being painfully oblivious how creepy ADAM was towars him) and Reki should understand, completely forgetting how worried Reki was for him before his beef (so much he was having recurrent nightmares). It must've been jarring to hear your friend admiring and close fo idolizing someone who was a monster and nearly killed you. He was absolutely scared of ADAM and also because in Reki's mind he heard that skating with him wasn't exciting for Langa and felt overlooked and ignored, and shitty, increasingly aggravating his. Already low self-steem. Reki by then has reached his breaking point. His insecurities, low self-steem, self-degredation, hurt and betrayal were already sinking in to his heart. Riki not only parted ways with Langa because of the left behind part skating wise and unworthy to be next to Langa at the same level or by his side at all (I'm pretty sure Langa never felt that way about Reki) and thanks to Shadow's comment and skaters at S but also for what I aforementioned. Reki couldn't talk to anybody about his issues either; Shadow and Miya were constantly belitting him and Reki being Reki brushes it off but deep down his self-steem was declining. Miya to his credit was the only one worried why he hasn't come to S later on. Cherry and Joe were probably not a good choice either. And the one person who was supposed to be there for him, was also the one person who couldn't talk about about it. He had no one he could trust or vent, he was utterly alone until later. That's why Reki said Langa and ADAM should skate together too if that's how Langa felt and weren't a match anymore. Langa was no longer thinking as a skater, he was on his way to become like ADAM. Only thinking about winning not matter the cost. Langa was reckless, inconsiderate and untentionaly cruel. When Reki said 'we're not a good match anymore' and 'I'm not like you or ADAM' he was referring especifically that they didn't have the same views on skateboarding anymore and that Langa and ADAM pretty much were thinking about going head to head with one another no matter what just to feel the thrill and danger. So much that Joe had to call out to Langa at Crazy Rock because he was going dangerously fast to try to reach ADAM's illusion in front of him. I read so many posts shitting Reki's behaviour but they didn't bother to stop and actually pay attention why Reki was behaving that way. Langa was always the only one blameless on many viewers opinion and Reki was the jerk. Just to be clear I love Reki and Langa equally although this needed to be said. I tried to be objective and clear the air regarding Reki's bad rep about the fallout. The fight needed to happen for both of their sakes. And their subsequently time apart was healing and worth it for them to realize they needed to be honest with each other, unwavering faith in each other, fully mutual trust, unconditional support (to be fair Langa already had it with Reki since the very beginning and Langa was able to show his support for Reki only by the time episode 4 came along) and of course to communicate better. Before they were friends but after the makeup they became best friends (cough, boyfriends, cough)
