Welcome to Mariel Talks Pop! a show dedicated to talk about Pop Music from the late 90's and early 2000's. Hosted by the Queen of Underground Pop Music: MARIEL BASSORI.
“Come and Get It” is by far the most underrated pop album EVER! I feel strongly that “Some Girls” should’ve been the lead single for “Come and Get It”. Its sound and style would’ve fit perfectly and had she released “So Good”, “Funny How”, “Every Little Thing”, or “Crazy Boys” as singles…she would’ve had a bigger album. 💿
Hi~ Can you interview Just Friends ? They are a German group, and their debut album "Friends Forever" has always been my favorite album! Thank you very much~❤
@@marieltalkspop I saw an german language article that said Denise Zich is now a busy actor and married Andreas Elsholz. Sabine Manke is a voice actor. Daniel Höferlein runs multiple clubs, and Matthias Fuchs is a photographer.
Dis was dope! 1 of my fav vocalist 🖤 her tone. Alot of questions I had were answered. 1 ting tho, her album IS NOT Bubblegum Pop. And u kept saying it lol NOTHING Sonically about the Tonya Mitchell debut album is BGPop. Da genre it falls in is Pop/R&B it could even be considered Urban Pop DEFINITELY NOT Bubblegum. Especially during dat era compared to all the other releases by recording artist of the time.
Would you ever consider interviewing one of the guys from Five? I know Ritchie Neville does podcast type interviews. Sean Conlon and Scott Robinson are still in Five with Ritchie. J and Abz aren't in the band, anymore.
@@marieltalkspop Oh, yes! That makes sense. Their first album was definitely their personality. Their second and third albums were good, but the styles were more scattered.
Love Mel B. I love that she still pursued singing even after her albums didnt do record numbers. Also Mariel have you listened to Jessica Folcker? She used to be part of Cheiron Studios with Max Martin
I agree with you Mariel, Mel B’s solo career is my least favourite of the Spice Girls too. But I’ve always loved Mel B since day one, I think she’s brilliant! She’s also the only Spice Girl I’ve been lucky enough to meet ❤
Great to see all the things Emma did without the girls, but i missed a very important thing: Emma on AbFab. She's so brilliant on this show and proves that she doesn't take herself for too serious or important. It's so funny when Eddie doesn't know her name or even her profession. A real highlight in Emma's career!
Rachel was always my favourite member of S Club 7 and I absolutely loved her solo career! I remember I had both albums and would play them all the time, desperately wanting more solo music from her! My favourite single was her cover of More More More, but every song on the album Come And Get It was just amazing! I got to see Rachel perform in a UK touring theatre show called Rip It Up 70s a few years ago and during the show she performed More More More. I got to meet her after and told her how much her solo music has helped me in my life, helping me through anxiety and being my escapism from childhood bullying! She was so grateful ❤ I’ve also seen her perform with S Club on their reunion tour last year too! She’s such an amazing performer and needs to do more music!
People love to hate Victoria, but I think she’s amazing. I’d say she’s probably my favourite Spice Girl these days as she’s just iconic! She may not have the best vocal or the best solo career, but she sure knows how to stay relevant in her career! My favourite Victoria solo single is Not Such An Innocent Girl, but I also love Out Of Your Mind too. I actually have a signed CD of Out Of Your Mind, signed by Victoria and Dane Bowers! I wish Victoria released more solo music though, as she was quite successful with the solo singles she did release judging by the information in this video! I would love for Victoria to rejoin the Spice Girls for any future reunion too! The cheers she got when she sang her lines during the 2007 reunion proves she’s loved by fans and wanted in the group!
Geri was always my favourite Spice Girl as a kid, I remember being so upset when she left the band even though I was only 4 years old at the time! I did love her solo career though and would always be taken to it each new single and album the day they came out as my Mum liked her and the Spice Girls too. As I’ve gotten older, Geri is sadly no longer my favourite member of the band, but I still love her a lot! My favourite Geri song is and will always be Mi Chico Latino ❤
