The Bibites is an Ongoing project to create digital lifeforms. This means genetics, evolution, and natural selection! Feel free to stick around if that kind of stuff is as interesting to you as it is to me!
Correct spellings can include Bibittes, Bibits, Bebite, Bebittes, and all kinds of weird variations. It's up to you 🤷
this is 2 years late, but you should make them able to attack rather than just automatically biting anything that gets near their mouth. this way they don't just kill their entire species on sight and can choose what to attack and what not to
Hi. I love your game and I have been playing it for a few hours and while the simulation is running I have been watching your videos. But your game seems different to mine somehow? It has a vew area of where each bibite can see and data presented by each food pellet. Plus, when it loads it says it is by a different studio. I am currently using version 0.5.1
I have this annoying bug in my software where somehow they hack the place the offspring are spawned, whenever they find it they just spam these zombie critters 😵 going to have to double check where entities offspring are showing up
If you still haven't figured out how to make plants less good, maybe try giving them their own defenses? Things like poison, thorns, armor ECT. Things they would have in real life
Im not very experienced yet with the game but I have notice, by seeing some gameplay, that predators usually left meat from their preys behind, usually by getting distracted with another Bibite. I think that is really inefficient so I thought what if Bibite could smell meat nearby so they could rotate and finish the meal before starting chasing another Bibite. Maybe that isn't so much of a problem idk :) I then thought that smelling meat could potentially have more interesting uses: - Herbivore being able to scape when a friend is hunted. - Scavengers being more efficient (maybe rotten meat smell way more) Btw thanks Leo, this game is really cool.
When you use ai art it makes the video seem cheap ane lazy. When i know youve put a lot of work into it. It demonsteates a lack of respect fo rothers work and you shouldnt use it
Very interesting simulation! I do however have a question, how the hurting system work ? Do Bibites hurt themselves when they bump into each other, the demange depending on their speed or stat ? Or do they need to activate an output neuron when in contact with an other bibites to decide to hurt ?
Hello, I really like what you are doing, I recently downloaded "THE BIBITES" and although I don't understand much, I'm slowly trying to figure it out. Thank you for your project, please develop it and stop at nothing!
Genuine question, can someone explain to me how I can use the bibites on my PC mb on Discord or smthng cuz I'm an idiot when it comes to Computers but I really want to simulate some bibites. Thx

Not sure by what you mean by running on Discord, But on your computer you simply need to got to the link in the description and download the latest version 😁 Follow the installation instructions, and you should be good!
@@TheBibitesDigitalLife Thanks a lot for your reply but with on DC I ment a step by step instruction on how to use/open the programm after I downloaded it cuz I can't get it to run.
Don’t get me wrong, the bibs are highly complex and quite fascinating, but dang it’d be cool if instead of programming features in directly, you found a way to allow them to be created via emergence.
How did you do this? Did you use Machine learning for generating brains? I would really like to make something similar (but less compilcated of course) :)
Sexual reproduction would be really cool! Maybe there can be some comparison between two bibites to see if they are genetically close enough to reproduce. This could create some cool effects, especially if sex chromosomes can be modelled somehow. It would be really interesting to see the ‘ant colonies’ with different sexes to make drones & workers and so on
I would love to learn how to code to make a game(?) like this. Unfortunately with the people I know I am infamous for losing motivation very quickly. Maybe that will change if I try this.
