I'm using mostly the "flip glitch" and the "duplicate glitch" to merge ship parts without collision issues. You can check out the techniques on this older build video of me: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-AI_1RfN0aWY.html But I think searching for a guide video with better explanation on youtube how to do these glitches could be easier to understand.
@crazy-tommy I got it now. I am a fairly experienced ship builder myself, but I didn't know linking 2 parts together could allow something to shift lower than it would normally. I think I am going to give it a go now! Thank you.
I’m so glad I started another playthru as a nomad, I’m either gonna be the fastest quick hacker in the west, or even better than David with the apogee😂
Rather than have a walk-up intro to each of the individual workbenches (which we all know what they already do), would have been nice instead to have a build guide. Oh well
The workbench demonstration is just to show that all of them are useable. If you place them too close to each other or to the ladder they become blocked and you can't use them. It's actually very tricky to fit them all inside a 1x1 area. I just uploaded a teardown video for the build: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-GwLHVgY3SGA.html
@@crazy-tommy Man, I'm sorry... re-read my post and I sounded like a dick, I did not mean to. I think I needed more coffee. Thanks for the awesome ship build, it looks great! Gonna check out the other vid now!
I was wondering which (empty) Control Station had the most room to work with. Couldn't confirm while my PC is in for repairs, but I saw a video with one that still had tables and chairs taking up space. Glad to know of at least one that fits my needs. 😸
The Pinch 8A Reactor itself has 36 power. Having Andromeda Kepler or Vasco assigned as crew adds +1 power. This is displayed in the ship editor, which results in 37 power. Another 5 power comes from the Aneutronic Fusion player skill, this adds up to 42 total power and is only correctly displayed in space. Also having Omari Hassan assigned to your crew adds one free power to Shield Systems and having Sam Coe assigned to your crew adds one free power to Engines ... so in total you have 44 power that you can assign to your ship systems.
This is the best ship built by far. Out of every ship build I have seen, nothing comes even close to this. I hope to see many more like this. It would be great if we, the viewers, could see how well it does in space and what it looks like on the inside.
Yes, Overclock mode with health upgrades and Biomonitor is the way to go for early and midgame. This build idea requires the Quantum Tuner, which you only can get after the Phantom Liberty story, so it's more an endgame strategy. You can use it as alternative to Overclock mode or combine both for even more hacking.
Its a sick little ship. What do you mean by max cargo though? And ngl Im probably going to build this little guy myself, set the difficulty to survival mode and make a space trucker background 😂 Finally live out my Elite Dangerous fantasies lmao 😅😂🫣
The maneuvering thrust of your engines affects the mobility of a ship and and how heavy the ship can be before the mobility drops. The build uses 6x SAL-6830 Engines which are the strongest engines in the game and which allow the ships total mass to go up 4275 mass while still having 100 mobility. This build uses this mass budget to stack a few dozen "da Gama 1000 Cargo Hold" modules as they have the best cargo per mass ratio. So "max cargo" just means that this build tries to stack as many of the best cargo modules as possible while still keeping mobility at 100. With skill and crew bonus this ship can carry over 14k cargo.
I have like 6 different character builds and my Space Trucker "Kurt" is my absolute favorite. I play him the most. Max out the Commerce skill, all of the Outpost Engineering/Management skills, and some Piloting/Shields skills and take to the Staryards and start fillin' those orders! So fun. Blaring the Machine Head album by Deep Purple also helps the experience!
This is a glitched build where most parts are glitched into the same building slot. To achieve this I use the duplicate glitch. Check out the video "Starfield - Tiny ship build" on this channel to see how this method works.
Thanks for still watching the whole video. I'm not a professional video creator, I'm just an old gamer who is only capable of doing start-stop recordings without any video editing. Also this is literally the first video I ever recorded. I created these videos to document how to reproduce a ship build including the glitching stuff, so showing every single step is intendeded. I don't think I would be able achieve this in a 45 seconds video.
Wow ... that is one highly concentrated build. Now, cram that whiny brat kid back in the aft of the control room and you have the perfect ship. cool thx S
