Why was this a question that needed to be asked? Of course nothing was going to happen for something that was never scripted to be possible. What, did anyone think that they would have coded and animated Makarov to react to the player doing something that can only happen through basically bugging the game?
I believe this was done to give players the initial false impression that Shepherd cares about his men. Then later they show that he's actually a slimey warmonger who uses his men like pawns.
In his monologue he talks abt losing all his men from the nuke in cod4 in the blink of an eye and the world just watched, he did care about his men but after that he became fixated on his goal in mw2
Chronicles really butchered the atmosphere and dreadful nature this map originally had. The dull colors, the eerie feel and hallow ambience sold this map to be one of the most unsettling of the bunch. Same can be said for Moon. Chronicles _improved_ it in the same way Combat Evolved Anniversary _improved_ the original 343 Guilty Spark level.
I accidentally did this once and still have no idea how. I feel like there’s barely anything online about it! How can i do it again? I wanna play it like that haha
my first ever zombie game was on kino and yeah was legit terrified at the thought of being aloe and having to fed for myself. Now i’m just like….. stay away from my vodka!!
Every time i spawn into that alone it just captures the vibe so well. The wind making it feel so isolated and the little glimmers of the chandelier make it feel so empty and abandoned. Your character's footsteps also make it so much better cuz i feel like it echoes to show how big and empty the building is. In the later rounds though i can totally understand not seeing it so well cuz of how many zombies there are but just starting the game while zombies slowly come in is terrifying and creates such a great atmosphere. I love it.
There is a whole gamemode based on these effects called codjumping. 125 FPS is the best for getting distance with straight strafing. 250 is the best for curvy longer jumps. 333 allows you to get more height and change direction more easily mid-air. 500 and 1000 were introduced later in the meta when people started getting these FPS. It makes you a lot heavier, giving power to your bounces. And yes there is a bunch of other cool weird effects in this game like bounce and elevators,.
Okay i know the game is old but there is no way that is the only place you can find one. In certain mission soldier come armed with them and you can pick it up if the get downed.
The reason this map could feel horrifying is because they started drafting it in World At War before switching it over to Black Ops 1’s engine. As we know this was meant to be World At War’s 4th DLC map, and we all know how creepy each map is on WAW. This was a perfect predecessor to continue Der Riese’s formula. I would like to see how this map would look in WAW just to compare.
