So my husband wants to swap my hybrid minivan for a Ford Maverick. We have a lot of reasons but basically what I need to know..... Can you leave the truck "on" with air conditioning and it will cycle on and off all night like my van? I love camping in the van for the ac and will not compromise on this. Thanks!
I know you mentioned putting your orthotics in your shoe and them fitting in there. Did you need to size up your Vessi shoes in order to do that comfortably or is that with your regular size? Thanks so much!
When you make your list of pros and cons of switching from x100v to x100vi, you will include "Made in Japan" as a plus for the v and "Made in China" as a negative for the vi. Ask folks who collect watches whether Seikos made in Japan are worth more than Seikos made elsewhere. There are plenty of other reasons not to buy the vi: the 10 percent weight penalty; the unnecessary IBIS unless you are a moviemaker; the offset tripod mount; the fact many of your v accessories won't fit the fatter (6 percent thicker) vi including $160 camera cases like the beautiful Kaza; the $1,000 or so cost difference remembering eBay will take 13 percent of the sale price of the sale of your v and you always have the chance of getting scammed. The new camera is larger, heavier, way more complicated (unnecessarily so if you don't shoot video), and doesn't fit many of the accessories of the x100v. I've been a photographer a long time, and I still have two of my gorgeous, perfectly operating 60 years later, Nikon F cameras everyone said had to be "upgraded" to the F2. Don't get me started on human rights abuses in China; I don't want a camera made by a 10-year-old slave.
A suggestion for you. Because surely you're trimming in to the rounded corners with this order, and it would be worse the closer you get to the middle pages. So I'd say, get your folds, staple, cut off the excess, THEN round the corners. It could even be a quicker process because you're not having to keep rotating the full page to clip them.
nice video. They definitely pull you in with the striking but subtle appearance of their tools. Hell, I even want the tape measure haha. The magnetic lid is a nice touch and allows it to be stacked well, though the cylinder case looks good enough to put on a shelf or corner of the desk and not be out of place 👌.
I realize this video is 4+ years old, but I just found it. I enjoyed your photos here! I agree with what other commenters have said here that the placement of the shutter release button is not a design flaw, it is simply to help us keep our fingers out of the way. Mine came with the attachable handle, which is hollow AND HAS COLOR FILTERS STORED INSIDE!! (Using the handle attached to the bottom of the camera and the placement of the shutter release button has prevented me from ever taking a photo of my finger tips, at least not yet. I'm one of those people that if it's possible to make a mistake in a certain way, I will eventually do it, but until then the handle and the placement of the shutter button Is works for me.) And yes loading film in this the first time or two is kind of difficult, but I used an old, ruined, exposed roll of film and practiced loading and reloading that film in this camera, so now when I load working film, it's not difficult. I have only shot a few rolls with mine but feel like I have gotten a steal compared to the price of a Hasselblad Xpan or its Fujifilm equivalent, or a working Widelux. My horizon camera is the S3 U-500 version and I love the thing! I think I would have trouble using a real Widelux version simply because of the limitation of the apertures and shutter speeds.
I looked at one of those "2-person" cot tents from Kamp Rite, but I'm even bigger than you (6'3/250#), so it wasn't gonna work for just me alone. No way could I put a 2nd person in there. Plus, I heard the ridge pole that goes underneath you and down the center is very uncomfortable unless you have an extra thick mattress, but again, I would be even more crammed. Instead, I found a double sized folding military cot setup that has a tent placed over the top of it and also included a 6in air mattress. Its just shy of queen sized, but fits me perfectly and has room for a 2nd person. It's also tall enough that I can sit upright to get dressed and still not hit my head on the roof. It won't fit on the bed rails of my F150 like the Kamp Rite does, but it's about 2ft off the ground and would fit just perfectly on my 7.5x12ft flatbed trailer once the bikes are unloaded. Best part about it is that it all folds down and away into a duffle bag and doesn't take up most of the bed space like your Kamp Rite. I'm building out my hardtop Samurai as an overlanding rig, so I definitely needed something that would collapse down a little bit smaller. With my bluetti, I can also bring along my heated mattress cover on those cooler Fall solo trips.
@@Dimasphotographer thank you so much for watching. I don’t see why it would be, You could just use 11x17 (Tabloid) copy paper. Leave this with me. I’ll see what I can put together.
Regarding battery's, I believe bp-511-a Is that the same as the 30-50D are using?...... found my answer on dpreview Lithium-Ion BP-511A rechargeable battery (supplied & charger) • Supports BP-511 / BP-511A / BP-512 / BP-514 So I can use all those batteries I have for them..... cool.
Bro, what am I doing wrong in the settings? 😢The jpeg pictures of camera soft are great. But RAW of chdk is very noisy even after processing in lightroom.
Interestingly I don't have any issues with the screen. It just doesn't serve the same purpose as newer cameras as it was never intended to be used to frame in live view. It's more of a quick review screen. I'd recommend trying the 10d, 20d or 1Ds to realize the 5D screen is actually pretty okay!
- We can't take good photos with a 12, 16 or 24mp sensor! We really need 45mp or more to take the same bad pics with more resolution. - Weather sealing is highly important for the moisture to be trapped inside the camera during a battery/SD card change and leads to corrosion. We need that! It sure provides "peace of mind" while taking that price winning shot during a firm drizzle. We all do our best work during a drizzle. - Of course we need faster autofocus, because we never understood what the GR's snap focus mode is all about. - The price needs to be double of what it is now, plus it has to be sold out all the time! Only then can we say we are "hip" if we can finally afford one used for even higher prices. We want to belong to the elite. We want to be envied and to be lifestyle champions expressed through our tech gear. - We need a flip-flop-hippy-di-hop-roll-up screen with a selfie mode! I personally crawl around on the floor often - during a drizzle or snowstorm - and then take overhead shots. A screen like that would help a lot. - High ISOs needs to be improved! 102000 ISO as a base value without any Chroma or Luma noise. Which brings me to: - A global shutter! Everybody needs a global shutter. How did we live without a global shutter? - More AI! The GR IV should be online all the time and compare the photo we are about to take with similar best shots ever taken by famous photographers and instantly blend a "best of" version. - VIDEO: Should be 8k (at least). The video should run in the background at all times as soon as you turn on the camera. This way you can freezeframe the scenes you missed after the fact.
I bought a used on in 2018 and traded for a 6D ( a very underrated camera). I regretted selling it immediately. Last month (2024) I bought an immaculate one for $220. I forgot how much I loved shooting it. I have a 40mm f/2.8 attached, shoot Monochrome jpg + RAW, and use it as my daily carry. (To be honest my daily carry is an X100V but this is my other daily carry). The sheer simplicity of it makes it a joy to use. Forget the rear screen it's junk (remember film cameras never had them for 100 years). Use the histogram. Re. Compact Flash Cards. Buy a $10 CF-SD adapter and use your SD cards. (You simply push an SD card into a CF adapter.) As for the weight, it's no worse than my 5D-SR (or any other 5D version). I keep to the 40mm lens so it's lighter than my usual 5D-SR setup (24-105, 70-200, 16-35).
I had the 20D for a long while, and then went mirrorless. From there went back to the 5Dc because I was not happy of how the texture of the mirrorless images looked - lack of proper tonality, feel of artificiality. Back to the 5Dc felt like taking a massive hit with the AF and low light capability, using lower end / mid level EF lenses (such as the nifty fifty and the EF 28mm F1.8 USM). However, mounting a Sigma ART 35mm lens it changed everything. The AF is lightning fast and super accurate. Not just the center point, but every AF point becomes usable. Also, it has no problem focusing is low light, and the low light shots come out way sharper and way less noisy compared to the (non-L) F1.8 EF lenses. It does not do security camera level low light, but with the Sigma ART at F1.4 it sees a little more than I do with my own eyes. And that's another pro with this camera: it captures what YOU SEE, but will not fake what you do cannot see with your own eyes. It will not transform mediocre / poor light shots to stunners, and yet it will capture properly lit scenes with all their beauty. People who are disappointed with this camera are so because they expect that a mediocre scene will magically transform into a Technicolor/bokeh fantasy. And people who love it are the ones who have the eye to recognize good light, a good shot, and then the camera can take that with buckets and spades. No worries, if you are not there yet, this camera will guide you there. That's what's been happening to me. Since I have the 5Dc, I am transforming from a long-time stuck beginner who never could catch the moment, to a very comfortable and confident shooter.
I own a lot of gear from Canon and Nikon alike and I always return to the 5dc, just for the feeling, the sound and the image quality. If your strong enough to travel with the 5dc, I would add a Canon 1dc (with the famous CCD sensor) to the kit with a good zoom lens. You can easily get those 2 bodies for under 700$ then put your money on very good lens. The 1dc is also special to me, kind of love/hate relationship because of the menu system and the raw file is .TIF but the learning you can get from those 2 is really helpfull. You must learn to shoot great picture right off your first shot, there's not much manipulation to do after that! :)
is it the double or the ‘oversized’ tent cot? double is $500 and doesn’t look like it’ll fit. how do the outside legs fit? can you feel the sides of the bed? thanks!
@@hunterhogan9326 hi there. It is the double and it just fits. The outside legs stay folded in and just rest on the box rails. In terms of can you feel the outside of the bed, do you mean the bed rails on the truck?
Thank you for sharing your experience with these lenses and your thoughs on the videomaking 🙌 The focusing issues are not with your eyes :) I have the same issue, especially on the sides it looks very muddy and as its mentioned on 3.5 unfortunately it seems that on scans I'm getting quite distorted and blurry picture on wideangle
