Great question! I have been putting it in to practice today in the form of an internal mantra “I absolutely love myself.” I feel a lightness, a profound sense of freedom, confidence and a surplus of love to share with others.
I remember that profound video was then followed by a mental health routine that aimed to sell 9+ beauty and bath products. I appreciated her openness, but switched off when she used it to sell bath salts.
The sentiment “live in the moment” to me is incredibly flawed. When we live in the moment we too easily get caught up in that moment. Choices made in the heat of a moment are often not carefully considered. This is frequently the equivalence of “hold my beer” and what follows is, more often than not, a bad idea. There is a balance needed to live in the moment while also considering ramifications not only to ourselves, but those near and dear. Enjoy the moment, but don’t let it get the better if you.
I like this perspective, thank you for sharing. To me, living in the moment means we extract as much value from each moment as we can. Living like moment to moment can be exceptionally freeing
