You need to do what they require from you. If I take on a role in the church , like hospitality service , but I refuse to use the guides and criteria for that job , I don’t like welcoming everyone and I don’t want to shake hands. I don’t like a forced big smile. I’d rather do it my way. I have better ideas than you , the pastor , I think my way is better. When the pastor tells me that , I’m not a good match for the hospitality team , maybe later. For now you can be a member but not a hospitality leader. It makes sense. If you are a member of a church but you are not with them in their core values , then maybe you need to find a new church
Well it is true that your body type can describe how you move and get things done. Let’s do you have no control over your food intake and you won’t do any physical exercise. You need to keep your body and mind fit. To have a fit mind and fit body will lead you to a fit spiritual state
So relate to what you said "in our process of leaving, we were thanking them for all of the stuff that they did to us" I remember calling my pastor the day after our meeting that literally turned my life upside down, and apologized. I APOLOGIZED and said sorry if he thought I was being disrespectful. This goes to show that before you escape, you are deeply rooted in systems of abuse and you don't even know if yet. It takes leaving fir you to realize just how twisted it is.

Noah, I'm so sorry that you know this pain. I just found your page by Internet scrolling but and am deeply saddened to hear of another victim of spiritual abuse. Praying you find your healing, it's a long and hard road for sure. I just want to commend you for speaking out and I hope you know what a brave and courageous human you are.
So many congregants today fail to realize the first four letters of “culture!” Mary was at Jesus’ feet when He said “Mary hath chosen the good part;” and that was IN HER HOME! But, if you’re seeking him in “Church CULTure, (“cult” isn’t always negative), you are going to have leadership guiding things as the Spirit leads. Correctly or not, this is part of any organization. As “staff” you can be fired. I watched the RU-vid Video “Detailing the Abuse of…” It seemed to me everything Jeremy (and Alan) said is pretty close to “spot on” when a church is desiring a move of the Holy Spirit! The main point I saw, was Jeremy in Noah’s apartment sharing passionately about “revival,” it’s beautiful history, while Noah seemed bored, waiting to talk about his own drum instruction business, selling “contrived formulas” for “spontaneously” ushering in the Holy Ghost, thereby “profiting off the Gospel.” Simon the magician would be proud! Yes! It was a test! Jeremy wanted to see excitement, enthusiasm, passion for revival, and join in with THAT as a “main cause.” John (at 99 years old) said “test every spirit.” He didn’t say “letting each spirit know you are testing them ahead of time, so they will know what you want to hear back.” Noah, was about his own agenda and got “hurt ‘feelings'” when it didn’t line up with the passion and cause for “revival first and foremost” that burns in Jeremy. I’ve enjoyed the Holy Spirit under Jeremy’s leading worship 100+ times. His heart ablaze. Noah’s just tearing him down because his business didn’t fit into Jeremy’s draw, and his heart wasn’t right for Jeremy’s team. So “cancel culture” yeah. Repent Noah!

If you were spiritually abused, then go to the proper channels and follow the Bible’s instructions on how to handle these issues rather than advertising it on social media where hundreds of blood-sucking individuals are going to condemn falsely. You all are putting down the gospel of Christ and allowing sick individuals to attack other christians. What a joke! Typical American christians who feel entitled!
All I read here is a bunch of social media gossip. Why don’t you all try the Bible’s instructions as to solving complaints rather than posting it on social media where hundreds of blood-sucking individuals are ready to condemn falsely. The loyalty culture is very prominent in churches and that if you conform,even to the extent of self harm,then that’s great. Deviate from that path and you’re seen as a trouble maker. Not only that,but you’re seen as ‘anti vision’. However,the bible says we’ve to ‘esteem each other greater than ourselves and that the least is the greatest’. Jesus is lord,not any man, no matter how prominent or gifted. Healing is found outside of the hamster wheel of guilt.
We are all humans, no matter our position, hierarchy, we are all flesh and blood. They are not the real enemy, the real enemy is the devil. You should pray for them, they also need prayers. It’s hard i know, but it’s what God would want you to do. The bible says that our fight is not against flesh and blood…..(Ephesians 6:12-18). Having been through church hurt myself, i am coming to understand that it’s not them that’s the enemy. I am learning to pour out how i feel to God, to comfort, heal me and me letting go. I am learning to fix my gaze on Jesus and Him alone, following His leading. God still has a glorious destiny for your life, stay with God. Don’t let the devil isolate you from other believers because of this,, then you’ll be easy picking for him. Pray and I mean seriously tell God about everything that has happened and how you totally feel and pray for those who have hurt you and then follow whatever the Holy Spirit leads you to do.
spiritually abusive environments have cult-like behaviors which pressure you to stay and the fact they you were able to leave easily and you were able to meet with them with your grievances shows me it wasn't such an abusive atmosphere. Imperfect, yes, with for sure flaws, not denying that. But you have to extend grace they are human and maybe they don't deal with this always perfectly. It seems you lack grace with them.
Thank you for sharing Noah; I know this was a while ago, but I hope you are doing well. I pray the Most High leads you even closer to His heart and what purposes He has for you. Sometimes being removed from places like this can turn out to be a blessing (from experience). Romans 8:28 "we know that in all things God works for the good of those who love him, who have been called according to his purpose". Lord knows revival will not touch a prideful and man-led movement, but it will flow from truly Spirit led, humble, and community-driven places. James 4:6 "God resisteth the proud, but giveth grace unto the humble." Lastly, it is revealing that your instinct and drive is to love and connect with others in Christ. Colossians 3:14 - "And ABOVE all these things put on charity (love), which is the bond of perfectness." Love is at the center of the gospel (John 3:16), and so it should be in our own hearts, in all we do. That is Spirit-led. God Bless you.

Man this was brutal to watch. As a long time subscriber of yours, and a worshiper thats lead jeremy riddle songs many times, this was definitely difficult to see. Sorry that you've had to go through this experience
All I can say is I’m shocked and very sorry for what you’ve been through. They sadly seemed too have lost their way, Jesus was all about people, family i.e the local church. It’s quite frightening that they feed this poison in their fellowship. Well done for standing up for the truth of the gospel. Hillsong used the same tactics, you miss once but twice and you’re out..
It all starts with pride. Taking God’s glory. Taking more and more about man’s strength and effort than the grace and power of God. The “culture, mindset, goal, attention” is Jesus. The standard is Jesus. The question should always be “What would Jesus do? How would Jesus love? How would Jesus rebuke and correct, in Love?“ Conversations and testimonies should be only giving glory to Jesus. Not man. Not worship. Dont chase after the tools of worship. Chase after One the one to be worshipped. Dont worship the creation. Worship the Creator. Jesus demonstrated humility. Reminding us to keep our pride and ego in check so that rebuke and correction and realignment will be easier and possible. Pride was the downfall of the devil. Pride was the downfall of man. “For all those who exalt themselves will be humbled, and those who humble themselves will be exalted” Luke 14:11 As Jesus Himself said about humility, let’s continue to check on ourselves to stay right before Jesus. You Americans are really comfortable to built your kingdom and destroy others so and so. Without considering the bad reputation leaving behind, on the Church as Body of Christ. And Kingdom of our leaving God. BUT, there is a day come, so near, the owner of house will return and wipe off the house, as the first time He entered the temple.
This is like what happened with Gideon's Army. God's weeding out those not fit for the fight and gathering those who are ready and willing to pay the price for His manifest presence. Gotta have thick skin to roll with God's end time army.
So God is okay with leaders committing psychological abuse, as long as it helps out the end times army? I seem to remember Jesus pronouncing woe to the religious leaders who did such things.

What I gathered is you had an agenda to have him promote your $30 a month Debolt Drumming software product and his agenda was to build a team of people who's hearts are wholehearted about ushering in God's manifest presence. He was open to your vision (at first which is why he agreed to meet with you) but wanted to make sure you were open to his as well. If he sat down and talked with you for 45 minutes about revival and you interpreted it as rambling that's enough evidence for him to know ya'll aren't anywhere near on the same page. 🤷♂ Also, how much of this has to do with him not wanting to promote your $30 a month subscription to Debolt Drumming? It sounds like he picked up on that and basically said "no deal" and now your pissed.
