"I am excited to see who I am without all of that." I am having my domestic partner watch your video so she can get affirmation about our hope that she can be who she was before we went on this long strange trip of what has been finally dagnosed as hyperparathyroidism. Thank you for such an insightful sentiment.
Hi, Caroline. I am cosidering going to Norman parathyroid center as well. I hope you are doing well. I am very nervous because I have never had surgery but I am so ready to feel better!
I have Hyperparathyroidism and it is so debilitating. For me the worst symptoms are confusion and bone pain. I now have been prescribed morphine for the pain in my arms and legs. Fortunately I am due to have the offending parathyroid gland removed which I’m hoping will relieve me of the severe discomfort I endure. Thank you for your interesting video.
Thanks for the video… checked both . I will be going through the surgery tertiary PtH 3.5 glands . I am on dialysis and going through a lot of issues. Hoping to do my surgery next week. Thank u
So a few months after I started to feel way better! A year after I was feeling very good and that lasted for quite a while. And then I caught Covid a year ago and my fatigue has come back with increased pulse and low oxygen despite healthy lungs so I'm trying to figure out why that's happening. So far nothing suggests that it has anything to do with parathyroid disease and it's probably to do with hemoglobin or something like that. I'm still SO glad I had a parathyroidectomy. It was life-changing.
Thank you for making this video. I’m going through the exact same thing. I’m exhausted all the time and instead of complaining I’ve just come to the conclusion that I was weak or that everyone felt like that. I even have kidney stones! The tipping point was my grandpa being diagnosed with hyperparathyroidism. I’m terrified of needles though, so I need to push through that.
I'm sorry for the late response and I'm so sorry you've been going through HPT. You are strong and will get through this even stronger. I hate needles but I'm pretty used to them now (I had to have hip surgery too, unrelated probably)
I will make an update video soon! I have slightly elevated PTH but normal calcium and the PTH isn't high enough to be concerned about. It's likely due to being Vitamin D deficient.
