It’s not that I hate fingerstyle. I just find it strange that there are far more 90%+ videos ot fingerstyle than flatpicking for Celtic trad dance tunes. Nope? 🤷🏻 I don’t know any fest-noz dancer that would dance on it. It’s beautiful and very well played though, and relaxing and joyful to listen. And where can I find a duo of Celtic trad guitars album? 1 flatpicking + 1 plectrum backing. Sláinte agaibh ;) Trugarez deoc’h
I believe it was Pablo Picasso who said: 'The only thing more beautiful that the sound of a guitar is the sound of two guitars." Quod erat demonstrandum
This is beautiful, but.... a bit mellow maybe? Dans keff is a traditional Breton danse that is pretty energetic, like jumping rope, one jump per second. I love dans keff and sometimes take a few steps in my kitchen when I am homesick or really annoyed - best calming therapy. For some reason, I cannot danse it on this music, something is making me lose the rhythm. Is it played slower than the original version? Just for comparison, here is a version by the Bagad fo Vannes. Granted the bagpipes bombards and drums help bringing some energy, on their version I have no problem dancing. ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-PMwmrs-vB-8.html
Love the sounds those finger picks gives to your guitars. add that the fantastic musicality and poetry of both your guitar playing (sorry for my bad English, I'm french 😜), this is simply delectable! Thank you for sharing this wonderful music.
This is the first time I've ever heard Steve Baughman or Robin Bullock. They are amazing! Flawless performance! I dream of playing this beautiful music! Thank you so much for posting these two guitar masters!
