Absolutely dreadful, I don't think there's a gimmick, storyline or angle that Matt Cardona hasn't ripped off since he's been on the indies where he belongs
PUNK in AEW was a dream come true. He felt like the one missing piece of the equation and he ELEVATED the company to it's highest pinnacle. That's a fact. CM Punk was treated horribly by the EVPs and it's embarrassing that they let such a quantum-leaping superstar walk out of the company.
Has anyone thought about how this is probably just storyline mess ups? I think this was supposed to be one of many bouts and punk tries a buckshot instead of going for GTS, showing that he can’t do it on purpose?
Feels like a good spot in a match if done on purpose. One wrestler arrogantly tries to do their opponent’s move, fails, and said opponent capitalizes on it.
I'm an idiot... I was going to complain about how long I have to wait to see the games get ranked only to realize this is the introduction video. lol. Carry on.
Piper did mention this film in his autobiography. It was when he talking about They Live, and it was something like "I didn't need another Hell Comes to Frogtown." Good video. 1 thing you could review Tag Team with Roddy Piper & Jessie Ventura. It started as tv pilot and I think became a tv movie. They play wrestlers who become cops
I really enjoyed this match and felt it's a 5 star. But I actually think the last match was the better one. I feel like because this match depended so much on the 2nd one with callbacks. I do think this was a great way to end the feud with Oku finally being able to match Ospreay and slay the dragon. I think the spot with Amiera really shows how great Ospreay is not just with his moves but his character work. A lot of wrestlers in the when they hit the manager by mistake would do an over the top reaction. Ospreay sold he was shocked that he stuck her but it never felt like acting. After the koala kick comment I am very curious to see what Vickie will say when you two review a Kawada match.
I loved this match. I can see why people would prefer the first though. This one just edges it by a hair for me. Ospreay is night and day from what he was. Truly mastering his craft now. Can’t wait to see what Oku does next. Will be interesting to see if he can continue to grow. Vicki is definitely not ready for a full Kawada match!!! 😂
@@TheRetroWrestlingRoom With Ospreay it's crazy. People knew he was be good but no one thought he would be this guy. Oku I would love to see get a chance in NJPW he could do great stuff in BOSJ. You could show her Kawada in HUSTLE so she thinks "He's a guy who sings and dresses like a Wiggle" and than she is stunned when she sees him drop guys on there heads.
The hidden blade a 2:18 was legit the craziest move I’ve ever seen in wrestling. Was not at all expecting it and I originally thought he took Oku’s head clean off. Insane
