I've been doing a lot of marbling. One trick I've found to keep the marbling from being so swirly is to do half my centering with the wheel going the opposite direction. I cone up going backwards, and cone down forwards. This is a lot easier on my Leach style treadle wheel.
I'll bet that you post (in a prominent location) notice that item not fired may be sitting on the "WILL NOT BE FIRED" shelf with an explanation OR a note to "SEE INSTRUCTOR"!!!
I'm so glad I found your videos!! I'm having trouble centering, but I think I'm just making it more complicated than it has to be. Your hints seem to be what I was doing only a lot less complicated. 👍🏻
I wish you could see my puppy's reaction to hearing you play those flutes. 😁 She was so curious, turning her head from side to side and watching you with great wonder.
Oh my goodness, where have you been my whole life? Your teaching method is great. I've watched so many videos on centering and I just wasn't understanding what I was doing wrong, but now I do. Thank you so much!
Had Moses for ceramics back in 2010/2011.. got the feeling he didn't like me but I had a lot of fun in his class. Sorry again for spilling that glaze 😬
