I am about 7 years older than you are. I started my little agency in 1996. I used the first Matrox Digisuite realtime video card. I spent about 20,000 euros at the time, but it wasn't the graphics card that made me the professional I was, it was just faster. I agree with your point of view, but even if, like you, I don't follow all the news about AI, I have to say that such ways are helpful and, on the other side, annoying. In the company where I work now, we have done more than one AI campaign (not me, because it was from a brand/visual perspective). We lost a lot of time because at the present time it's really difficult to have total control over what you're doing. I think we have to make friends with our enemy.
This is especially for Premiere Pro. But I also have templates for After Effects that mocks Saber. Just go to my Gumroad page where you downloaded this preset.
@MichaelPonch This is brilliant stuff, I am amazed how you are solving many limitations of ae. How to work with 3d coordinates, while applying multiple 3d aware effects to a 2d layer. I want them to interact to each other. for eg: cc ball action, or any 3d aware effect for that matter. It seems you subtracted the half of your comp width and height. How did you come up with it? Can you explain the logic please? Been scratching my head for a long time for this?
Thank you very much 😊. Usually I look at the position values, compare them, trial and error and try to see a math behind it. Thing is that they all have their own 3D space. Partly because third party developers (all the CC effects). But these issues were solved before me :). Just google it. Creative Cow is also a good place to find the answer. And ChatGPT can be helpful as well 😎
@@MichaelPonch when i follow your process I don't get it to work on the footage you already provided. in the video it switches when you click the text>video option, mine didn't do that. thanks for the quick reply !
@@DanLaDue I’ll have to check if this might be an error caused by After Effects Updates. Do you also have the ‘2. GlowFXMC’ Composition open? Double Click on it if not. It’s the comp where you can see the changes
I’ve checked it. It basically works. But it didn’t work at first when I opened the extended version because the parameters weren’t sent to the essential graphics panel. Solution: you can toggle in the essential properties in the specific layer. Or if you want to adjust everything in the essential graphics panel you have click on the ‘Push to Primary Comp’ icon. This little icon next to ‘Essential Properties’ with the arrow up ⬆️.
Hey Michael loved your tutorial! is it possible to put any png image around the tweaked line to make it feel real 3d like I want the line to run around my png is that possible?
Thank you very much 😊. Do you mean the line wraps around your PNG. It’s a 2D layer after all. So you have to use masking tricks to convey the illusion that the line goes behind your PNG. Or do you mean your png bends along the line? This would be impossible in AE but achievable in Blender or C4D
Thank you 😊. And shame on them forgetting the Spray. But also shame on me….I accidentally grabbed the goody bag from @AndrasRa_ according to the greeting card I found in box 😂. It was nice to meet you, sir!
Thank you 😊. It luckily worked with my footage. If the protagonists head doesn’t move so much and at least one eye is untainted then it should hopefully work.
@@MichaelPonch i do most of my work with AE. Even most of my TV-Work is done in After effects. When there is just one shot to do, like yours for example, i rarely start up Nuke.
Cool solution! Thanks for the detailed explanation. Although it looks tedious, the end result is impressive. As always, it's great to see the process and your workflow is always inspiring.
This is great. So glad it popped up in my feed. I absolutely love this attitude and look into the freelance world. Being average for most of my projects and really going all in on a few others has proved to be the best workflow. Not every project is paying the premium and not all money is good money.
Hi 👋. It’s only possible with a second layer as a track matte. But I made a template for this case ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-thheZU1GS30.html
Art required emotions . Artists try to convey art through his/her experiences and emotions through their work. But AI has no heart. So I think there's plenty of room for Artists to grow. Studio Ghibli is the perfect example that people still love old-school things.
Thanks for this, it worked great! However I am having trouble exporting it. I keep running into an error when trying to open the mov. Any ideas there? Thanks!
Thank you 😊. As for your problem maybe it’s the video player. When you imported the mov back into after effects, play it back and there’s no error, then the file is OK. Otherwise it may be corrupt. Did you have enough disk space or did you accidentally exported one frame?
@@MichaelPonch The video corrupts somehow, it wouldn't even open in VLC player. But I figured out how to fix: In media encoder, Quicktime is already selected. Somehow, selecting something else, and then selecting Quicktime again fixes it. I don't know why, but seems to be a glitch within the app.
